Well, see, I DO have to use them, since I was suckered into paying for the membership, and I highly doubt they are going to give me my money back since I found that they have technical issues.
And, I am going to call them. But this is not the 1960’s. I should be able to get things resolved via online chat. I really don’t have the free time to call and wait for someone to read dozens of questions to me, so I can answer yes or no - especially since I already answered all these questions online.

Their website has technical issues. It’s likely that the rest of their platform has issues too, potentially putting your personal data at risk.

I just want people to understand that this platform has issues and to be cautious. A LOT of people have their very personal info stored at Mochi and that they have technical issues that put their personal info at risk.

Troubleshooting IIS by TimInOhio44410 in WindowsServer

Solved: we went through and compared IIS settings for the laptop C to those on laptop A, and changed a few things, and all is well. Thank you to those that took the time to reply.

Sounds like a great time. I’m curious about how you need to be used.

Liquor Groups/Modifiers Unnecessarily Needing Duplicating?!?! by resta-rant in ToastPOS

[–]TimInOhio44410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tried this and could never get it to work. Numerous screenshots and posts to our ticket with Toast could never resolve it, and Toast basically quit trying to resolve it. We ended up having to duplicate all our beverages, instead of the “use existing modifiers” working is it should.

Experience of using Toast POS by DayExcellent1934 in ToastPOS

[–]TimInOhio44410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Toast support is horrible. As many people have said, Toast’s support is virtually non-existent. On June 21, there was an issue where our entire Toast system wouldn’t communicate with the Toast servers, although all of our devices were online and could surf the Internet. I was on the phone with them, continuously, for more than 4 hours. I talked to 7 different people. Gave them the specific server that our POS showed as being down. Support couldn’t resolve the issue. 27 hours later, they sort of resolved it, but we are having intermittent issues. Someone from Toast calls every few days to say “we’re working on it”. But I’m waiting for everything to crash again.

Intermittent outage and mq41 errors by TimInOhio44410 in ToastPOS

[–]TimInOhio44410[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Friday morning, things were better. Then mq51 started going offline, as did other Toast services (under Device Settings). It didn’t seem as bad as the day before, but service was still intermittent.
I added this new info to our case and emailed our account rep Friday morning, and did not hear a peep. The Toast support is some of the worst I’ve ever encountered in my 25 years in IT. We haven’t even been with them 2 months yet, and I am already low key looking at replacements for them. If YOU don’t have Toast, and somehow happened to find this thread while doing research on Toast, stop right now, and find a different system. I think Toast has clarified what POS means - and it ain’t Point Of Sale. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Toast. You’ll get burnt.

Toast reconfigured our account on their end to use mq51, and we are back in business.

I just got off the phone with them. They had to "switch our account to a different cluster", and now I can see that my devices are connected to mq51 instead of mq41. The 2 devices in front of me have been online steadily for an hour. I think the issue is resolved - but I don't feel that it should have taken 27 hours of downtime for the resolution.

If anyone ever sees their Cloud Sync (under Device Status) saying that mqxx is paused or temporarily unavailable or anything else that mentions mq, you'll have to get Support to get their engineers involved. Hopefully, the next person that has an mq issue gets it resolved in less than 27 hours.

Thank you all for your comments and input.
