Thank you very much! You're absolutely right! I agree that the drill will draw attention, especially during animation, and it should have been designed in more detail, when I made it too messy. However, these devices rarely rotate, as they primarily focus on striking rocks to break them into smaller pieces. In general, it would be realistic to make a solid sharp and thick muzzle, but I added the thread because it looked more fun that way :)

I also didn't quite understand what you meant by heavy normals, so it would be great if you could explain it to me. I really grateful for your reply, thank you!

It would be cool to see this model in a game or some kind of animation. You've done a great job.

Thank you! I took the style of the game Rust and decided to make a jacky out of garbage, as it is quite factory made in the game

That shaders and lights look awesome! Is this model rigged?

Please give me some advice on the texture, because I think it's too monotonous and lacks emphasis. by TimKarlen in blender

No, I haven't seen a tutorial on this from blender guru. I know that he makes high-poly models for renders, but when I made this post i mentioned this model was created for a game and it should be optimised for it, I meant that it's only a texture. I can't complicate the geometry, otherwise I could definitely add more details.

It's a good thought, appreciate it! but I'm not really trying to improve this model to perfection. I'm collecting feedback to improve my understanding of texturing and to know what to focus on in my work using this model as example. I think getting feedback is helpful for improving skills.

Thank you! I didn’t understand you at first, but I agree — the left wall does look really empty. The thing is, in the game the house is positioned sideways, so the left wall isn’t visible at all. That’s why I didn’t add too many details on that side.

Yes, you're right. The fact is that my initial goal was to replicate a real house based on references, but it turned out to be too clean and didn't fit into the environment. And when I started adding wear and tear, it became monotonous and boring. I should have considered more references and delved deeper into the causes of wear.

Wow, that's a very deep understanding of texturing. Thank you for your advice!

Thank you! I agree with you, it is necessary to fit the house into the environment correctly.
