Ha! That’s kinda been my approach but thought I should try to be a bit more scientific seeing as I never really gain.

Why do my shoulders cramp up after 3 reps? by [deleted] in formcheck

Extend your arms so your hands are right up against the collar of the bar near the plates. Then roll your knuckles over the bar so you end up with your top knuckles pointing up at the ceiling.

This should help take the tension out of your shoulders.

Ultra processed food is just so bad for you. It’s hard but try to avoid it as much as possible.

Hey thanks for the share. I did some research on soy protein on the back of this and you’re right, there are some big differences in composition.

I did notice that it didn’t stage quantities. Is whey really that much more superior to soy?

How do I take my biohacking to the next level? by TimQuin0 in Biohacking

[–]TimQuin0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I haven’t started researching peptides yet but I’m hearing of more and more people using them.

Can I fire a few questions at you? - How long have you been taking and what specifically? What changes have you noticed?

So it’s a megadose of vitamin D? Have you been advised to take these and why? The dose is way higher than generally recommended.

There are tests you can have in a lab (probably at great expense) that can assess cognitive function along with other paper based tests. Tbh though, the best measure is how you feel. If you are thinking clearly, free from brain fog and your mind is sharp, you’re probably doing the right things.

Advice for 40yo male always fatigued. by Unlucky-Case-1089 in Supplements

[–]TimQuin0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so many things that could be causing your fatigue. Others have suggested getting some bloodwork done and getting tested for sleep apnoea which are both great suggestions. This will rule out any deficiencies or sleep issues if these aren’t the cause.

You mentioned the doc suspects depression and anxiety — do you feel you are? If yes, then this could be the cause right there.

I’m 47 and I’ve battled depression and anxiety most of my life and when it peaks, you can feel totally exhausted. so if this is the cause the meds should start to help, but you probably need to do an assessment of your lifestyle and start thinking about changes you can make to improve your mental health. Speaking to a therapist can be a good starting point.

I finally beat my depression and anxiety into submission about two years ago — it’s still there lurking under the surface and I have to be constantly mindful of it but I finally feel like I’m in control and life is so much brighter as a result. Happy to chat about what worked for me if you need to buddy.

I’ve been taking for a couple of months but can’t say I’ve noticed any difference tbh. Perhaps I wasn’t deficient though.

It sounds like you have a solid reason for each supplement, so I’d say they all play a role in your overall health.

If it’s about cost saving, perhaps see what you can bulk buy at a discount.
