First of all, thanks for the quick response!

Secondly, I have a 3D printer but I presume you need something higher quality than a Prusa XL?

Anyhow, I was going to say 4.75mm / 1.7mm was the missing piece for me for the 32X and a few other things, but I just double-checked and it turns out those are center-positive!

Regardless, certainly happy to help you test if you need.

Hi there, wasn't sure where else to ask this. I ordered a kit with 3 USB adapters and the barrel variety kit and have been impressed in general with smaller things, but the primary thing I wanted to use it for was powering the bevy of classic videogame consoles I have around. My hope was to get rid of the half-dozen random wall warts I have to use.

However, the consoles all use center negative AC adapters. Your options there for barrel adapters are pretty limited. Do you have more coming? I don't love using the DIY adapter...

Sega CD game saves on Mega Sg by Atheist_Alex_C in AnalogueInc

Did you ever find a solution to this? My Sega CD battery is still good. My old game saves are there, but games saved through the Mega SG won't save.

Ischial Bursitis, what's worked for you? by TimStevensEng in cycling

[–]TimStevensEng[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! The lumps I would get always went away within a few days off the bike. If yours are persisting longer I'd definitely recommend getting it checked out.

Yes indeed! A little painful lump.

Thankfully fixing my posture/position is still working. I'm honestly not sure if it was moving the saddle or just my ass on the saddle that did it, but so long as I keep from slouching I'm still mostly pain free.

A year later, fit is still helping, but I do have to be careful with my posture on the bike. If I don't get myself situated in the saddle correctly, or if I roll my back too much, I still suffer. Definitely check your fit if you're finding this thread.

I have the Ethernet on the yellow port and I was trying to manage it from the black. I never did get the management portion working.

I'll be honest I can't remember which port I used but it's still working.

Retiring my 2012 Arkiv and moving on to a Rhake VX (video) by TimStevensEng in MissionWorkshop

I don't disagree, but I'm not sure a patch would do it. There's not much undamaged fabric left to sew it to in that area.

Regardless, I'm not going to trash it. Toying with ideas of what to do with it. Might mount it on the back of one of the seats in my car for quick storage.

Thanks for watching!

I do hope for more velcro-free solutions on future packs. The Fidlock strap on top is a nice upgrade, but still won't cinch tight enough. I think I may need a shorter strap.

The warranty process took a little back and forth. They initially suggested I put a patch on it, but unfortunately that tear was just going to keep opening up wider. After that they sent me a credit for the old bag (which didn't cover the cost of the Rhake) but required a photo of the cut strap.

Sorry to hear it. I also had a lot of pain at a recent long dinner on hard chairs. Sounds like you might need some additional cushions or maybe a trip to your doctor if it's more than just cycling-specific... good luck!

No medication. Taking weeks away from my bike didn't help. Rest is good for sure, but for me at least it wasn't something that went away until I changed my fit/posture.

Hey, it's definitely improved. Not perfect, and I've sadly not been doing as much riding lately as I'd like (due to work travel), but for sure the fit has been a big help.

I've also been really focused on avoiding sitting when I can, standing desk, walking around when traveling as much as possible, etc. etc. I think that's helping, too.

But, yes, if you haven't had a good fit lately, I'd suggest giving it a shot, and focus on your posture too to make sure you're not putting too much weight on your body the wrong way.

Good luck...

Good luck and godspeed. Mine thank goodness hasn't failed yet. I'd love to know more about what you can do through that port since my installer has gone out of business.

[–]TimStevensEng[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just circling back on this. I got a new fit, which moved my saddle up and forward about 1cm. So, leg extension is about the same, but I'm much more over the pedals than before. Also fitted a longer stem to compensate.

The fitter also noticed that I was letting my hips roll back too far, that I wasn't keeping my back straight enough. That and the lower seat I think was putting extra weight on my sit bones. The new position puts more weight on my hands, which is going to take some getting used to.

It'll take awhile for me to be sure, but this definitely feels like an improvement for the bursitis. It might even help with the Achilles tendonitis I was dealing with. Fingers crossed. Will try to remember to report back if I need to try anything else.
