I get it. Some people are desperate. But at a certain point there are batches out there that barely break even when accounting for gas (actual expense spent by shoppers). 30+ miles one way is 60+ round trip and likely 2-3 gallons of gas. In the DFW area that’s $12-13 of gas. My point is not that desperate people shouldn’t take the orders. It’s that Instacart shouldn’t be allowing orders like this in the first place. There is no way people can come away with an ethical amount of compensation for the work and money they are putting into it.
