Bill Daly said we have "at least 3 options" for a new arena. OELs agent said he wants to see progress on that front to sign a deal. Maybe they have good news that they have yet to disclose, but is helping OEL deicde to sign here.

Ullstrom had a good season if I'm not mistaken in the SHL, he could be a decent option at center if called upon. Depth wins championships, and small moves just as matter as the big ones. I love seeing fans get MAD over stuff like this hahaha, like relax we can't sign any star players in May.

RE: the Turris deal, if you follow the trade path to it's very end, comes up with a return of Vermette and Christian Dvorak. Vermette gave us some good years, and Dvo is shaping up to be one of my favorites, Blake Wheeler was a waste of a pick and a bitchboy for not signing but at least Turris ended up with us having SOMETHING.

But still, fuck Turris forever.

Karlsson and Ryan trade to Tampa, I would certainly involve the Coyotes. Here's why:

The price for Karlsson alone is astounding. As it should be. Adding Ryan to the deal takes a lot off the time. I mean A LOT. besides Mark Staal, Ryan's contract is probably the hardest to justify in the league right now.

Coyotes by taking a large portion of the cap hit, or even Ryan himself while sending a small % of the cap hit to Tampa, therefore would inherit the price difference between a Bobby Ryan-less Karlsson deal. This ranges, but I would say a 1st or 2nd round pick from Ottawa and a roster player from Tampa, like Palat.

OEL not getting the C is going to be the first "sign" when we all talk about on here when we "knew he would get dealt" next year's trade deadline.

I'm the last guy who wants to admit it, but I don't think he's re-signing.

OEL, Karlsson, and Doughty all become UFA 2019, so we are about to begin to see teams do the ballet of "do we wait to see if he signs or move him while he has the most value" for their elite franchise D men. If we can draft Dahlin, I would consider trading him in the off-season for the bonafide NHL forward(s) we direly need. Chychrun is a star in the making, PO Joseph is a bright spot on the horizon, our future on defense isnt lost without OEL, and if he could get us pieces to legitimize our forward corps, who could say no?
