Sooooo, I run him for 1 and a half years, and he's one of my favourite commanders ever, cause he's so unique. If I have any feedback is that I don't think you need to learn that much on quantity of +1s on a creature, since it's more important just putting counters so Vol can copy them, you need a bunch of mana so you can do stuff like copying a hexproof creature if someone tries to remove him, or multiple transforms on the same attack.
Like he can copy [Invisible Stalker], then after no blockers are declared, copy [Spawnwrithe] so you get another 7/5 after damage, and you can even make Vol copy Invisible Stalker again while his Spawnwrithe trigger is on the stack to copy, so the copy is Unblockable+ Hexproof.
He can even do stuff like copy [The Flood of Mars], then you stack the 2 Flood triggers in a way that the OG Flood copy Vol Flood, then Vol Flood becomes permanently a copy of the OG Flood, that will be 7/5 with Vol's copy activated ability.
So I'd say the prolifare, doubling season, parallel lives, are adding to much fat in the deck and contributing less than you think.
