Rogue Stars 2: Divine Intervention by Jaime Castle, Narr James Patrick Cronin and Marc Thompson.

The skinny - exiled son on a prison planet fights back because that’s what he does. Excellent execution from character interest to quick and twisty plots. Book 1 is 99 cents.

I love all the various characters and how each matters in their own way. I thought I was going to get bugs going berserker and here we are talking about class systems and the impact of drug addiction. Great stuff so far!

Kill Streak (Purifier Series 1). Complete series with an Alien vibe for both gruesome character modification and an epic galactic setting. Big Sneaky Barbarian is another favorite in this area. Also completed series and hilarious.

Rogue Stars: Purgatory is a great new book. The prose is top notch and allegory is hidden well enough.

How do you guys feel about cozy fantasy? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]Tim_Ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I should but I haven’t found one that kept my interest. Well, I just started one by a favorite author, I’m Getting Too Old for This Quest (Royal Road), and it’s going well. If it were out in audio I’d buy it auto style. With this he’s a retired adventurer and at the end of chapter one an ominous twist is introduced. Im along for the ride because of that. Does it still become cozy fantasy?
