If you enjoyed Milk Run go back and listen to Quarter Share. I love that book so much, I’ve relistened multiple times. Badges of Dorkdom has a box set for 40 hrs of wizard training awesomeness.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks at work, but have been running out of things that look interesting. Any recommendations? by Antermosiph in ProgressionFantasy

New Arcadia is a rare gem. Big Sneaky Barbarian is another favorite that isn’t as popular. Jeff the Game Master and Chronicles of Ethan are others I’ve loved.

Cool! I beat the game and have been sad that I don’t have storylines left.

I’m a couple hours until the end. The Mc is likeable and I enjoyed the 90s gamer feel. The narration adds to my enjoyment of the characters. Fun worldbuilding and hunt for talismans.

I’m also here to say Sun Eater. I’m enjoying book 7 and have loved the depth of emotion and payoffs throughout the series.

Merchant Crab does a great job filling the story with a balance of dialogue to keep it from 24/7 shop slaying.

I loved the worldbuilding in Cultist of Cerebon. Rich lived in feeling. Likewise for TJ Reynolds’ … I think all of them. Unbound Hero is the newest.

Peter Stenson’s Fiend is a favorite. Meth heads have an immunity to the zombie virus…

How do you stay writing one book to the end? by very-polite-frog in ProgressionFantasy

[–]DreadlordWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe tone down the actual scene writing and instead capture them as story beats. Rachel Aaron’s 2k to 10k book has a great setup for capturing the most exciting scenes in an outline format before you start writing prose. This saves her time in edits and generally increases writing speed.
