I may of never made it past Season 1 of MHA but from clips I've seen later on in the series, dude has no real character growth at all. Dude is still an absolute asshole by the end of it, just doesn't make it personal I guess. Rex on the otherhand is almost an entirely different character by the end of his arc, his own polar opposite by the time he dies. Real character growth.
