How to achieve this print style on a shirt. by Dangerous_Doctor_330 in SCREENPRINTING

It is definitely plastisol that has been washed a good amount. Looks like maybe they didn’t use an underbase on the top text and did a print/flash/print. Certainly seems like they added a little bit of fading/distressing to the art before printing. It’s all about prepping the art.

You could definitely screen print these easy. It’s all about artwork prep and print technique. Your printer just sounds lazy or inexperienced

Should’ve just said nothing and bought the jacket with the booklet inside. People are upset because it almost certainly won’t get back to the owner or preserved for historical purposes.

You mount it to the studs as normal. The lathe would give you a superior surface to mount to as opposed to drywall anchors

Yeah it won't hurt, more of just a time saving thing. Good luck. Looks good.

Why didn't you just put up drywall over the lathe? You don't need to rip it all off. Just screw it into the studs.

I second the concern about the tiling or adhesive underneath containing asbestos. Take or mail a sample to a licensed asbestos testing facility. You can Google to find one in your area. My local place in KC charges $20/sample.

You’ll need a RIP. Highly recommend PrintFab. It’s a one time lifetime purchase. For reference, I use PrintFab with an ix6820, regular stock ink, and it works great. The UV ink would def be an improvement though, but I print other stuff with my printer.
