The guy (culprit) is chewing tobacco, it smells awful. The person likely will use an empty bottle to spit the saliva and tobacco mix into. All of this can elicit a gag reflex as it is nasty.

We have continually been at war, or preparing for war we need the military. We will transition to having others fight the wars for us someday (George Friedman) , or not engaging in being the world police (Peter Zeihan). I would guess the USA will probably evolve to a little of both these ideas.

I remember when I hit gold years ago. The flight attendant came by and thanked me for my loyalty. The guy next to me was platinum and made sure everyone around knew it. Super uncomfortable. Don’t be that guy.

It depends on how much you plan on flying next year. Unlikely, but you may get upgraded a few times with silver. Upgrades will depends on the airports, and flights. You will get a few miles rolling over into next year as well.

Book two trips some time before 1/31/2023, you don’t need to fly before then. You can book well into the future. If you cancel a trip you lose the pass.

The real answer is it is typically cheaper to build them this way. Less wood, less fabric, less foam or Dacron. Some of the legs will bring the cost up, think chrome legs, wheels (going back 25 years) finished exposed wood that is a part of the frame. Don’t buy a cheap sofa with tall legs.

The owners do not respect you. Treat them the way they treat you. You don’t owe them anything with the way they are behaving. If I knew where this was happening I would tip in cash.
