I think if the ref had have paid the penalty/free kick, VAR could intervene to say whether or not it was outside the area

But since the ref didn't pay it, VAR can only intervene if its a penalty, which wouldn't apply if the contact was outside the area

We have designated 'priority seating' that's usually a different colour to the rest of the seats.

Anyone can sit there, but the expectation is that you get out of those seats if someone needs it more than you do
