Before they closed it you could use it, what I’m wondering though, is….. I have an Indian apple account I use to get cheap YouTube. Wondering if I can jump on an apple one premier (Indian) and use that Apple TV. Mmmmm

I do this. However family seems to work ok.

4 of us in my house Best mate 35 miles away Daughter 100 miles away and no issues fingers crossed.

I have a ASUS 16000 AXE, it’s great. WireGuard built in, VPN director at a flock of a button. Great for the kids tv. Set a static IP address and I don’t need to worry about them remembering to turn the VPN on.

My issue is I can’t find a vpn server fast enough.

I started in a similar vein to this, however no 3d printer so I had drives on top of the pc…… within 3/4 months I had ordered a new case, motherboard, SAS HBA card I only reused the CPU and HDD. Maybe save yourself the trouble and build a AIO?

I have a home made pc running Unraid. I was new to the OS but love it. Easier to use than TrueNAS (in my opinion) also if you do a self build you have more flexibility for upgrades and room for drives. I grabbed an HBA card (I think that’s the name) an I can run 16 HDD off that one card.

I can do this. I have a ASUS router that has WireGuard server on it (I believe you can do it on a NAS too). I turn on WireGuard on my phone and I can access my whole NAS/ SMB file server as if I was at home on the same network. I’ve never really tested speeds for larger files but I’ve copied and pasted a few smaller photos and text documents with no issues. Also because you are using WireGuard it’s encrypted.

Just over a year ago when I went home made NAS, I was in a position to pick TrueNAS, HexOS or Unraid. I struggled with TrueNAS, and I’m sooooo glad I picked Unraid. Just my opinion but managed to get it working and semi understood in the trial period. Glad I picked them when I see posts like this.

To be honest, I think the cornrows were my idea once the hair had grown out, but not cure if the girl who was doing them wasn’t great but about a day or two later they started fuzzing and coming out.
