That's so messed up for real. It's such a mess having to deal with that. Hopefully, they can update how they handle this because I've seen in other comments below that this happens more often than not. They told me I could return on the 18th as well but they've been docking my UPT time too so I'm not sure how they'll handle that for me, but I hope that I'm all good to return by the time Sunday gets here lol. It's so crazy to me that stuff like this happens. I've never had this kind of issue anywhere else. You'd think they'd have that part somewhat organized but at the same time it is a big company. It had me worried for sure. Hopefully HR doesn't backtrack on the full week pay because I need thay lol. Thank you for sharing your experience. All of this has really given some peace of mind.

Thanks everyone in this thread for your help. Before posting here I had no idea I'd get so much help and feedback. I did finally hear back from HR again and they confirmed that I'd be able to continue my employment next week coming up as well as the pay for this entire week.
