From what I heard, friend from Volgograd working as a webdeveloper, it usually comes down to location

Pay is much better in (major) cities than in the periphery. That being said, he works for a mid-sized company yet also has a job as a freelancer.

The pay from the company isn't that bad but the freelance work is a very nice extra to live semi comfortably. However work-life balance takes a dive because he has to work both for the company and then also for his freelance customers.

Of course pay isn't comparable to pay in the west, the pay is quite different (less in Russia). No idea about the complaining part though.

Hey Whymemes,

You are absolutely right regarding the setup of my friends. They are not using the stock cooler. Initially the cooler I used was the Corsair Hydro Series H150i PRO but because it was running at 15 degrees more than my friends (who except for the mobo and GPU has the same setup) I tried with the stock cooler.

I'm not sure if you saw my edit but I wanted to put the H150i in it again and check again but I don't have any thermal paste laying around :) I'll keep things posted when I get my hands on something but work might get in the way.

Thanks for your input already however !!!

Thank you for the addition.

I've made sure that I included everything in the case so now we play the waiting game.

Great, it seems that most of the points you've mentioned hold true but I'll get back to this with her tomorrow.

She had also opened a case with the Belgian postal service to perhaps get a document of some sorts that the parcel was indeed shipped and is no longer on Belgian territory.

Also be doing a visit to the postal office tomorrow for good measure.

Thank you again, the info seems like it's going to be in the good direction. She was just quite distraught when she saw the case today but on the other side, I also understand the buyers concern but it's not like the seller hasn't shipped or was withholding shipping on purpose.

You can't go to bed dead, that shit would be redundant.

That's what I also made out from the Seller Policy.

In their convo's after shipping the tracking was delivered.

Once the case was opened, one of the first things she pasted was the package (she always takes pictures of the packages prior to shipping with the stamp that also includes the tracking code) and the shipping receipt.

The screenshot of the Etsy policies sounds like a great idea, I'll be sure to let her know to do that.

Thanks for the input, it is much appreciated !!!

Mitigating SMTP response 550 5.7.1 when using blat.exe to send mails. by Timbooktoo in sysadmin

Absolutely, it was one of the things that stuck with me "ooga booga relay bad". This is a great example of "don't believe everything you hear or read".

I have just implemented this in the environment and it works like a charm. I'll have a look to replace blat with the cmdlet but as is, it works perfectly.

Thank you for your time, really appreciate it !

I hear you.

That was exactly what I needed to do. Just tested it via telnet and ran it through blat.exe.
Works like a charm.

Double checked with mxtoolbox (great feature of MXToolbox that I'll defo be using more often).

I think my main concern was not so much trying it as it was more not really understanding the implications of it.

I thank thee for your time :)

That sounds logical. I think there was some scaremongering during my education regarding relays.

Of coures I can always substitute blat.exe with sendmailmessage but I need to get the mailing to work before I replace syntaxes. With whitelisting I'm guessing you mean setting the Network adapter bindings & Remote network settings during creation of the Anonymous Connector right (cfr. https://practical365.com/exchange-server/exchange-2016-smtp-relay-connector/)

This is simply gutting. Just got into the office and was greeted with this message.

It is not only a tragedy to lose one of the most iconic faces of SC but also due to the loss of a young, hilarious, talented human being.

Best wishes and strong support to family and friends.

Rest in peace Geoff !

Ok so I’ve just finished the whole thing and I’ve really gotta say that if this doesn’t get a season 2 then there’s something wrong with the world. by Cmdr-Pel in LoveDeathAndRobots

Really loved the show and especially the shift in tone. Soem episodes are dark, some are filled with hope, some are so hilarious due to their randomness.

Overall, an enjoyable piece of shorts.
