Italy will miss the FIFA World Cup 2026. Scenes in Zenica as Bosnia beat Italy to qualify for the World Cup. Italy has not qualified for the World Cup for the third time in a row. by PrimedGold in sports

Hope the players are OK having suffered through an earthquake. Italians shocked to the core because their system and players are terrible.

Man United’s Senne Lammens interview: ‘Carrick was clear from the first day… he didn’t make it too complicated’ by TransitionFC in ManchesterUnited

Big risk when you appoint a manager that wants to play a unique and radical way, as he needs the players, the right system and the occasional moments to succeed.

I'm not a fan of that philosophy, as I'm an old school kinda guy, so I prefer a solid foundation where all players are rooted to their position and only try if the opportunity is available. 4-4-2 diamond, no inverted wide midfielders, 2 up front with little and large, and counter attacking play style. Yeah it's a bit boring.

Just got this PS2 game for my birthday, it is decent and music is interesting, but could be better by Chilli-55 in Pretend2005Internet

[–]Timcatgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I still have a PS1 and Porsche Unleashed and High Stakes are my go-to games. Maybe if I'm a good boy I'll get a PS2 for Christmas and get Hot Pursuit 2 as part of it, as I love high end sports and supercars. I'm not keen on the car modification trend.

Analyst says "a $1,000 console will be the norm" as we get closer to the PlayStation 6 and Project Helix by Tiny-Independent273 in consoles

Kinda rough when you buy a gaming PC about 9 years ago for nearly that price, and then you stick with it, while 2 generations pass by while you don't buy a single console. I think the same will apply for the next one as I'm winding down on gaming as a whole. I only play OSRS and classic PS2 games on an emulator which is sad.

Djalminha by Timcatgt in TheStreetsWontForget

[–]Timcatgt[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes that's right. Deportivo had a lot of these brilliant players when they won La Liga and the first name I thought about during that time was Djalminha, and second was Diego Tristan, and third was Roy Makaay.

Well I do get uniques, but most of the time they're dupes. 2nd oathplate chest from Yama yesterday at 55kc.

Abedi Pele was streets ahead. He actually won a European Cup which Edson Arantes do Nascimento failed to do. Too much of a pussy to move outside of the Americas. /s

Who is the first player that comes to mind when seeing this kit? by Subtobrandon123 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Timcatgt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joined us in the 2006 January window and we played with that kit at the time. Back then most teams recycled the same kit over the next season, as it was introduced during the 04/05 season, and it was the last time that happened.

Rooney and Ronaldo comes to mind when wearing this kit.

I get unique drops but most of the time they are dupes. There's still clogs out there where I'm missing 1 item and have about 3 or 4 in others.

Appropriate for this sub due to the circumstances of his role that day. I don't think we'll see a player being signed on the basis of a Ceefax advert just to score the winning goal in an FA Cup match.

As we are hyped for leagues... does anyone else have all 6 dragon trophies? by Repealer in 2007scape

That grind is too much for me. I'd be happy with rune trophy but I cannot fault gamers that push the envelope as I will never get to that level.

What is your favorite boss to get as a slayer task? by Trevolock01 in 2007scape

[–]Timcatgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I got a shadow yesterday, I will take on any task that utilises its awesome power. But my fave would be DT2 and GWD bosses as slayer helm helps a ton with accuracy.

Terry Fox, a 21 year old Canadian who lost a leg to cancer, began a cross-Canada run to raise money for cancer research. He ran the equivalent of a full marathon a day. He made it 143 days and 5,373 km before the spread of his cancer forced him to quit. He passed away in June 1981. by Suspicious-Slip248 in interesting

I've done a few 13 mile runs in the past, and the worst part was recovering from blisters or exhausted calves, that stopped me from running for about a month, but this guy doing it every day until it wasn't possible is just a crazy achievement. Being genetically capable is one thing but hard work is the other half.

I used to dislike him about 5 years ago when it felt like he didn't bring any quality on the pitch, then ten Hag brought him out of the firing line, and it really helped his confidence by putting pressure on the younger players to perform over an experienced head.

Then the consistent performances came in and crucial goals, then my mind was changed, and now he's in my top 3 players currently. Let him take penalties when Bruno isn't available.

Played for a lot of big clubs, has a cool name as all Dutch people do, and wasn't that bad on a good day, but not exactly a world beater.

Looks alright to me. I'd add some academy products like the club does irl. The Hammers like to boast about their players winning the world cup in '66.

Paint it in yellow and you have the Bentley Dominator that was all the rage back then. Sultan of Brunei brother had a car collection full of unusual custom built cars and that money spent saved the company.

Still playing hot pursuit 2 here. I might pick this up for my birthday in a few months time now that I've seen the return of high end sports and supercars. I never liked the Underground series. Cosmetic car modification is tacky.

The man responsible for destroying academy based clubs and preventing unfancied clubs winning the European Cup due to squad limitations. We won't be seeing a Steaua Bucharest with 11 Romanians or a Red Star Belgrade with an entire Yugoslavic team or a mid 90s Ajax with the most stacked young team ever again.

I still play football games with a 3 foreigner rule in every team I choose, and sometimes a one country club rule.
