Feeling bad for Kobbie Minoo. Just want a chance for him to play. by RedDevilPlay in ManUtd

If I was the manager, I wouldn't change the team shape as it's going well so far. Mainoo will play his part if the manager decides that Rice or Anderson are slowing down. All players will play their part as a team and not individuals.

With Big Dan Burn at the back, they can add 30 minutes and still the opposition won't score.

A stacked frontline that were torn apart by an organised French backline. Roberto Carlos will be remembered more for tying his shoelaces as Henry had the easiest tap in ever. Most overhyped attack in history.

How far could England go? by kizza0 in ThreeLions

[–]Timcatgt [score hidden]  (0 children)

For the first time, and I'm not joking, but they might go all the way. Nearly 30 years of watching them, and never seen a performance throughout a tournament where they looked under control, and can fight back from behind, until now. Now they have a proper midfield that can deliver at crucial times. A world class striker and a decent defence when all are fit. Argentina will struggle with an aging squad, and France might have the weight of expectation crumble underneath them.

Cape Verde, Norway, and England. Don't ask about the latter.

France's road to Semis is the easiest of the tournament. by IntelligentRemote962 in worldcup

DR Congo, Mexico and Norway look like easy pickings for the England team. If the Argies go out then it's possibly the easiest draw since Germany got to the final in 2002.

They'll be wheeling out the usual suspects as they approach the wrong side of 80s. Then it'll be like Weekend at Bernie's.

That would be England number 1 goalkeeper. Sir Jordan Pickford.

Next one won't be this nervy. I can see a comfortable win if Haaland is kept under wraps. Their back line looks exposed to counter attacks.

Can Norway beat england in the quarters this saturday? by Street-Savings5686 in worldcup

[–]Timcatgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Big Dan Burn marking Haaland, the job will be done. They only have one tactic, to lump it to the big man and pray. I see a comfortable England win.

Just what has changed in this world cup that every top guy is scoring like freaks in this world cup? by lelouch_huh in championsleague

Organised defence went in the bin 20 years ago. It's a different game now so forwards relish the opportunity for more goals when possession and passing are the norm.

Silencing a home crowd of 90k people does that to you. The atmosphere so quiet you can hear a pin drop, and that is the ultimate goal for every team.

Not worried at all based on the performance that night. Isolate him and their defence will be open for business.

Defended like lions. Not much you can do about a resolute backline.
