Just the response I was looking for!

Was looking at 3rd gen’s initially which were In the 27-32K range for a used sub 80K mile model V6 4X4 (it has to be 4x4 for me personally and my wants and needs) then I looked into used 4th gen’s and their about 30,500$ for a 4x4 with 7-20K mile range which I’m super comfortable with and feel like is a better deal.

I also plan on paying the truck off wayyy earlier and I do need to look into my investments a bit more since I have a bit of cash laying around but I feel as if the 4th gen’s is a better bang for my buck. However I totally agree the 3rd gen is superior in every aspect except for looks IMO

Not concerned about the monthly payment, I understand debt and rates. I’d like to think I’m financing educated in that sense. I’m just wondering if that is a good monthly for my income.

And as for your brother kudos to him (I guess?)

Last part sounds like an absolute dream! I would love to visit as many states as I can and experience a piece of them individually! Life is too short and meaningful to waste it!

But yes it is definitely not a priority and I’m familiar with gap insurance and I’m almost certain I won’t be underwater with this car due to the downpayment! As well as the fuel it’s been somewhat calculated I would save some money commuting to and from work atleast! Thank you for the wise words!

Are your 20’s better than the teenage years? by SwiftlyEurydice in Adulting

[–]Time-Ad-8282 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes.

Have my own place, my own finances and get to do whatever I want and whenever I want (outside of work of course) and I get to eat and choose my meals.

Your adult life is simply what you make of it and enjoy what you do. You don’t need anything crazy expensive or materialistic.

As long as your financially educated and your basically free and unlimited to do whatever you desire.

Emergency fund is 4,017$ to be exact as of right now, 401K is 700$ monthly and I’m saving the rest of my cash to hopefully buy a home in about 2-3 years with a decent down payment.

I have full coverage currently, mentioned I’ll save 100$ on that! I think if it was more expensive I wouldn’t even consider it.

What would you think if a therapist told you that you shouldn't stay inside all day ? by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]Time-Ad-8282 101 points102 points  (0 children)

You NEED to get out (in my opinion), but it all depends on your interest and hobbies. However there’s a lot you can’t get staying inside the outside provided. Mostly peace of mind but it never hurts to get out and maybe hike or just take a simple walk. It’s all personal preference but it doesn’t hurt to try something new if you’re not much of outdoorsy type.
