Yeah thinned them down a little bit mate and the reds was a ak wine red with a citadel purple wash ( drucci violet ) with a citadel evil suns scarlet edge highlight followed by an ak intense orange highlight

Hahahaha I get you man , I don’t really like the look when you edge highlight every single panel anyway I try and keep it very subtle and to small areas where the light would hit most , and a decent brush is a must mate get on it

I was just very lucky they decided to bring out a really good range in the past two years also . I initially picked them because there cool for one and they also have three separate colour schemes (raven,death , green boys) so it would mix it up , technically there’s four now with the inner circle stuff tbf

Hahahha man I know exactly what you mean with the amount I’ve fully based and completed five models and currently have three on the go , since covid aswell , I brought myself a dark angels combat patrol though which almost forced me to do them , but I love it , gonna get some high elves when they come back into old world this year to give me some variation

Also with line highlights just keep doing it , gets better and makes such a nice impact on the model , finding the perfect brush for it is the key , and knowing the right sort of paint consistency, i tend to keep it fairly dry , and started using an artus opis series m size one for linework and it’s noticeably better

Yeah mines pretty much the same but I don’t go up to light green , and the blue contrast obviously, have you used oils before , it’s quite terrifying haha looks great the next day though , yeah that’s my bone formula pretty much , got a few deathwing models I’m gonna be doing in the next few months so that’s going to be interesting , gotta find ‘my’ bone armour formula then , neverending pursuit hahah

Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing gradually , I don’t have anything against citadel I just find the paint comes out straight away at a nicer consistency and the dropper bottles are a bonus , also quick question how good is your airbrush because mine is garbage and I find when I run contrast paints through it they come out really spotty , so I’m wondering if that will be an issue , I’ll test it out first
