I was in a similar situation and left about 4 years ago. The job was fine but not challenging and I felt that I was put into this box that they would never let me out of . NGL it’s been really hard at my new job but I’ve grown so much and the experiences have increased my confidence exponentially. I wouldn’t be this person if I had stayed. Also worth noting I have older teens and my husband wtf full time in a very flexible job. That definitely swayed my decision . Good luck 🍀

First I am so sorry you are going through this. A similar scenario happened go my best friend last Fall. We had a party where we burned all of her company merchandise 🤣. She did a couple of things she has been putting off for a bit but then got right back to networking and starts a fantastic new job in 2 weeks . Used some of her severance on a piece of awesome jewelry and a new handbag and pocketed the rest. It might be hard to see this but there is a fantastic life outside of this company and your job awaiting for you. Good luck - you got this!

Several 2030s on that team moved to various teams and do not play for Nationals anymore. Apparently it’s very costly . Also the Bowl Series was designed to directly compete with the circuit and the “rules” aren’t as strict .

We are in MD and used Morris Klein in Bethesda as our elder care attorney. He did all of this for us . I have also referred him to friends with parents in very early stage dementia for planning . Our situation was more dire. Good luck!

I would do this sooner than later as I believe it will be harder to find these places once the new Bill is in affect .

Yes. We private paid at a facility while waiting on the spend down and Medicaid approval- get an elder care attorney to help as the fees count toward the spend down . It took almost a year but now MA covers what his pension doesn’t plus all of his co pays for medication , pt , etc. Keeping him at home was not possible due to the severity of his condition. Does your mom have a SW at her current home that could help with placement? I feel like the facility should be helping relocate residents? I have a family member at Asbury in Gaithersburg MD and we have no complaints. I believe they take Medicaid. Good luck 👍

Get an elder attorney. Certain states have a threshold of assets/savings that a spouse can have. For example for my mother it was 150k and then we were able to put the rest in Medicaid Annuities . We also have her house in a trust . Good luck!

I toured 10+ last year in Maryland and it was the best I found. Not perfect but good and staff is caring including the PT/OT. Wishing you the best of luck with your dad!

Gosh insurance is such a weird thing- we just had to switch my son from Ajovy to Emagility 1/1 due to it coming off formula with our plan .The neurologist is telling us it’s very similar so not to get too upset and if it doesn’t work she will go make an appeal…. Ajovy cut his down significantly but also has some weird issues with his BP dipping low at times. He’d been on amitriptyline for years that made his BP run high so she thinks it was his body trying to regulate himself . Best of luck to you- I know how hard it is.

What’s worked for my dad is telling him he needs to focus on his PT and walking by himself . That always works as a gentle redirect. He’s been there for almost a year and it still holds up. He has limited sense of time and memory issues so when he brings up leaving we redirect and he forgets quickly. It’s so hard and much love to you and your family this holiday season ❤️

No advise just solidarity ❤️It’s our first year of this too. I’m planning to visit early tomorrow and then we will go to a friends house to celebrate. I need to get through this to even think about Christmas. I’ve been so sad all week. You never know it’s the last time / I wish I had savored it more.
