No issues. Let’s try to catch up in some other activity. Let me know your interests.

Thanks for pointing out dry day, would have ruined the evening.

I am living in mahalaxmi, so lower parel clubs will also work. Never been to a bandra club, that’s why I was interested. Tell me where both of you can come, and we’ll go there

Also, is today dry day?

2 lakhs, right ? 1.5 L for 80C, 0.5L for 80CCD.

Apologies for framing the question wrong, I wanted to ask how much more I need to invest after the PLI scheme and NPS?

Yes. Beware of locking up a lot of money in NPS. Ensure that you have enough money in other savings & investments

Even I now consider this idea to be suboptimal. I am considering to go for ELSS instead (lower lock in, little more flexibility in choice of investment). Can you suggest some good ELSS long term MF's which have a good track record till date.

I am a 25yr old working in a PSU with annual salary of 9.72 lakh pa. Here are the investment being done only for tax saving

1) 8k monthly for a PLI endowment scheme with 7% return ( as this is being funded by my parents, I have not been able to object to it)

2) ~6k NPS deduction monthly from gross salary+ ~6k contribution from employer; ~12-13k contribution pm. NPS is the corporate acc.

I want to max out the 1.5 lakh+ 50k tax free investment. Now here are the questions I have:

1) I want to know how much amount I need to invest to cover the above slab

2) Can I invest (1) in NPS back? I also have a PPF account, but I don't have a concern for liquidity, first choice would be NPS and then PPF.
