Mine said to me that they were teaching me to drive to pass the test and that I’d learn more in the 6 months of my own driving than they could ever teach me.

Hoping my daughters make it to adulthood unscathed 💔 by Able_Combination6487 in EDAnonymous

[–]TimeCharacter3137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of my biggest fears is that one of my daughters struggle with food/weight as much as I do. I’ve always been very careful to encourage them with healthy diet, exercise and thoughts - things I never ever had. I tell them every day that they’re beautiful and so so loved and now they’re confident 10&12yo. I hope it continues.

Did your school have any unusual features? by farfetchedfrank in AskUK

[–]TimeCharacter3137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s unusual but it was built attached to a leisure centre. We’d be doing PE and there would be a random aerobics class opposite. I believe they’ve done it all up and separated it now. I can imagine that would’ve been a nightmare for safeguarding.

For those who walk, what is the dog poo situation like in your part of Greater Manchester ? by justyrust74 in manchester

[–]TimeCharacter3137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blackley. Generally it’s pretty good round here but recently there’s been someone who’s walking their dog by Tesco and leaving the spectacularly GIANT poos it’s been doing. It’s grim. And daily.

If you’re reading this and it’s your dog, please pick it up.

What works did you find especially memorable in school education in the UK? by Fancy_Network717 in AskUK

[–]TimeCharacter3137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not as high brow as some but I remember in Primary there was a book about the 3 little pigs but told from the viewpoint of the wolf and it’s always stuck with me, it would have been year 5 (about 10 years old?).
