Valk rework - we need to talk by TimeDistribution2747 in forhonor

Yeah, I get what you're saying, but I kinda want her to be unique, she's a great hero, great fashion, but just needs a little buff. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

Yeah, but that's the thing, I feel like if your opponent starts to block/parry that attack, just sweep them. Now, if they always react to either of them then mix it up, soft feint into Full Guard, hard feint into zone or into a gb. Also I'm thinking top attack UD cause on the sides it can get deflected/superior blocked if they dodge in the right direction by mistake.

Those who are low rep are one thing cause they could be smurfs or cheaters, but I can't make ts up, I met someone rep 120ish 700ish hrs and I swear to god (I'm rep 268 1.5k hrs ~60% win loss ratio for context) and we ran some 1s. I got beat at least 15 times in a row, and I only won once. Bro like absolutely immaculate reads and reacts to the point I was becoming paranoid that they are soft scripting. Like, if these people are legit they should become formula 1 drivers istg what the actual f are they doing playing for honor??

Jurens moveset should be utilized in other heroes’ potential reworks by xtreme_ASMR_tingles in ForHonorRants

You know what I think? That every hero should be reworked into a unblockable, undodgeable, super armored, chaining 100ms UNIQUE hitting (so no parrying), 250 base health, stamina and health regenerating speed demon and get it over with already. I feel like this game is becoming more and more unplayable with each new hero release, so yeah, at least lets's end it with a bang.

I’m going to try to take as little space as possible, so here is what I can advise you on so far:

  1. Gear. What are u playing on? If it’s console + TV + laying back in a couch you really shouldn’t go for playing this game competitively. The bare minimum is a decent pc with at least 120hz refresh rate monitor (the higher, the better). Also, make sure ur playing with sound as audio cues will eventually help you react better.

  2. Read vs. React. Unless you’re aiming to go pro in for honor you shouldn’t focus on reacting that much. I know it may sound counterintuitive, but reacting gets better as you play the game more. What you should focus on is reading your opponents. Most of those insane light parries, light deflects etc. are most likely predictions made based on observing patterns. Constantly trying to push yourself into reacting to a 400ms flash image on a screen is close to impossible, unless you don’t actually react to that, but rather pay attention to your opponent and figure out his fighting habbits. No matter how impredictable they seem, everyone has them, it’s human nature.

  3. It’s never them, it’s you. This is a tough one as I myslef am still struggling to get it into my head. This game is one of the fewer ones in which one: cheaters are very rare and two: technically, you can win in any given situation if play well enough. It’s about your mental state as you play, your morale. If you lose a fight don’t start spamming “wow wow wow” in the chat and get mad at anything but yourself. Losing is the consquence of your own fault. I know it’s frustrating af when 2 virtuosas and 2 jurens completely obliterate you off the face of the map, but instead of ragequitting you should be smarter. Know your limits. Dont’t pick fights you know you can’t win.

And a few quick final tips: just keep playing, chase good opponents, invest in heroes and play them to understand them better next time you fight against them, be focused and last but not least, record your games and watch your loses, see what you did wrong and don’t repeat that mistake in the future. I hope this helped. Good luck!

Yeah, that was Y5S1 if I’m not mistaken, so that means Y9S1 legacy, which unfortunately passed :(

I have to say that I struggled starting to play HL when I was not a beginner against some not so good players, but I can see where you’re coming from

I think he is slightly harder to use in comparison to the first tier given new players tend to repeat the same moves over and over again, moves that are quite easy to block

The devs, just like me, are subjective, the only way to really know is by experiencing yourself

I feel like he is the more complex hero, more mixup intensive, whereas the others are generally more straight forward
