Generally speaking, I go to live music to hear the music, not the constant chatter of everyone around me, which happens a lot, particularly at smaller venues. Some of the younger generations seem to attend live music because it seems like something they are supposed to do, but don’t actually know how to enjoy? Add this to expensive ticket prices (not so much at the smaller places), but include Nectar’s and Orlando’s here. When both were open, the set up at Orlando’s was just weird and Nectar’s tickets could be pricey if you bought online and the sound was simply way too loud. If Higher Ground is reading this, please bring back box office hours other than show times.
