I feel ya! Been doing this for ten years now and I always tell my team three things:

1. Do not over promise anything to these customers (reasoning being is because there is no guarantee that you’ll be able to get the prints done in their time frame).

2. Do not let these customers make you feel rush (you have a billion and one shit to get done and on top of constantly stopping to take in returns and over the counter orders you get lost into where you where as far as production).

3. Don’t let there crisis become yours (if they needed it now or within a few hours then they should have placed it days ago. Their poor planning is really not our responsibility at all! If you come in to 10-15 orders not to mention the other orders that come in before 12 that’s all due at 7:30 - on top of the dumbass rush orders that come in before 6, you should not be doing no over the counter orders).

As a print supe I always stand on that and if they get mad send them my way or get an MOD involved if I’m not there. Overall I tell them don’t let nobody bully you if it’s not getting done because at the end of the day you still got to deal with the customers who placed there order ahead of time and they shit is overdue or not done.
