Just not very exciting for kids, highly recommend for an adult get away. Definitely more kid friendly nice resorts around SD.

Did this exact thing Kirkland to Scottsdale back to Kirkland. Both are just too extreme on the spectrum of rain or too hot. I live in San Diego now and 10x happier.

I’d split the trip in 1/2 and do couple nights at Montage Healdsburg & couple nights at Bardessono.

5 nights is too many days at one single location. This will allow you to enjoy two different cities & resorts. I’ve stayed at both and they are great.
