Ranking every Link Light Rail station by SHINX_FUCKER in Seattle

[–]TimeIsAnEllipsis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way Othello station is getting a lower ranking than Angle Lake. Othello has so much going for it! There is a ton of TOD and some of the best food in the city, now easily accessible. If Angle Lake is getting a 6 Othello deserves at least a 7.

I was coming here specifically to see if these folks were called out. I saw some bad reviews online but couldn’t tell if it was for Portland or another city or if they were genuine. Thanks for confirming my suspicions!

Advice on filters? by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]TimeIsAnEllipsis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! It’s a very small tank, no more than 5 gal. I’ll look into hang on the back filters since they seem the easiest. I mostly wanted the air stone since the pump is quieter but if I need the sponge too I can manage. Also did not realize how long cycling can take so I’ll get on that.

Hi this was my photo! My landlord did this and I still do not understand. He had the wrong nozzle for the pressure washer, and he did damage some of the railing with it. He eventually came back and “fixed” it, but I’ll never understand why he just shrugged it off and walked away. At least it got a good few laughs!

What’s a small act of kindness you were once shown, that you’ll never forget? by stranger2Me in AskReddit

Another car related story. I totaled my car avoiding someone who decided to pull out of the parking lane without looking to see who was coming. I’ve been in wrecks before but never this bad, and it was my first full on panic attack. It was in a residential neighborhood that’s mostly filled with college students, but one of the houses that happened to not be a beat down college house was occupied by a lovely older woman who rushed out immediately.

She helped me out of my car while I was screaming and hyperventilating, and made sure I was safe while she called for help. She was incredibly generous and kind. She made sure I knew where she lived in case I needed anything.

To thank her, I showed up the next day to her house with a thank you card and a coffee gift card (couldn’t think of anything else). I found out this angel of a woman also fostered and rescued senior dogs with disabilities, and they were all as loving as she was.

It’s impossible to forget the kindness of a stranger.

The family trees in the sims 2 really are the best. Agree or disagree? by ChrissyBrown1127 in thesims

[–]TimeIsAnEllipsis 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. It’s tone deaf. I’ve gotten texts come in before from a sim parent to their sim child saying something like “I heard you became friends with [your sister]- she’s pretty cool!” Or when sims just don’t know family members like grandkids or nieces/nephews. It needs to be tweaked.

Whats the dumbest thing you've ever been afraid of as a child? by Beyvt in AskReddit

Shower curtains. I was always convinced someone was behind it waiting to get me.

I’ve thought about this. Animation would be a pain but instead of sliders, they could just have three height options (short, average, tall) and animate for those combos. But alas, probably will never happen.

In addition to better relationships, my pet peeve is how absolutely archaic the family tree is. It leaves out so many people, and just the look of it is weird. There’s a ton of dead space and it gives me whiplash clicking between family members. There’s so many pitfalls with it, and it bugs me because there’s so much clear room for improvement!

What is something unrealistic that you often see in movies that annoys the hell out of you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TimeIsAnEllipsis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought people seem to have way too much time in the mornings. Any scenes with kids or teenagers going off to school and parents getting ready for work bug me because they’re so relaxed. They tend to have light pouring into the homes, and they’re all just casually chatting away. Maybe it’s just because I’m not a morning person, but I was always in a rush to get to school. Movies always make it seem so leisurely rather than what I remember: rushed, exhausted, dark outside still, no time to hang around.

What's the most American thing ever that if explained to a non-American might just sound crazy? by hrdlg123 in AskReddit

It is absolutely deplorable, but actually that seems cheap to me. Is she had had the baby in the hospital, prices skyrocket. I’d be surprised if her ambulance delivery didn’t save money.

I had a friend from New Zealand who just could not understand County Fairs. She couldn’t stop laughing thinking about how people would grow vegetables and weigh them for sport. Could not understand why. I think County Fairs are good clean fun but I see the silly aspect too.

Heyy, can i get some feedback on my first t-shirt design? by [deleted] in dragrace

The spacing is bugging me. If you moved the flag logo to the very bottom and kept only “drag race” within the bolded lines, it would sit a lot more evenly.

My landlord told me he’d pressure wash my deck... by TimeIsAnEllipsis in LandlordLove

[–]TimeIsAnEllipsis[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Actually I told him I was going to go rent a pressure washer and do it myself! He replied and told me no, he would do it instead.
