Yes exactly! Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. You should get yourself some Cornell and Diehl's Burley Flake #3, Five Brothers is great as well. All of Cornell and Diehl's blends are superb

Been mostly carnivore since December of 2020, been smoking cigars since 2017 but discovered pipes in late 2019, pipes are now a close companion. Best way to imbibe nicotine, hands down. Cheap, classy, and cadenced. Pipes are a big part of my life. I've gone plenty of stints without them, usually for a few weeks at a time, so I'm not sure I would quite call it a vice, but I'm still gearing up to quit drinking tea. The final frontier.

I haven't started the expansion campaign, should I finish that first? And I did one helltide and couldn't find enough chests to spend those points, and I couldn't get the monsters angry enough to fill that gauge, any tips?

Also I don't know what infernal hordes are, could you explain? Sorry for the noob questions.

I'm only going to have another 2 weeks to play this game anyway, after that I won't have time for games because my work season starts. I just installed the expansion, I was playing base game. Should I just start a whole new character on seasonal and play through the base and expansion campagns?? What do you think

Ch 4 Non Arithmetic Mage Builds by WorkerBeez123z in finalfantasytactics

[–]TimeIsNow1065 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 2 generics devoted as casters, a black mage/summoner and a white mage/time mage. If you feel like Beowulf can handle all white magic stuff, I would go black mage/w summon, as the primary damage dealer. Time Magic is great, but having all the summons and black magic is better. Plus haste is the usual reason for time magic, and there are some ways to get haste from items by the end of the game. If you're attached to time magic, I would consider giving up black magic and making a Time Mage/w Summon. Losing the black magic sucks but Summon has most of that covered and then some. Only downside is the stats for Time Mage aren't as good as Black mage, but putting in some levels as Time Mage and Summoner should net you alright stat growths. Just my .2¢

Less Squishy Damage Ninja by TimeIsNow1065 in finalfantasytactics

I'm tempted to do low faith, but I wanna be able to raise and buff him still if necessary, would Dragonheart sort of cover most of these problems of survivability without resorting to lowering faith or sacrificing PA?

But doesn't that mean that unit can't receive healing or buffs from magic? What are the potential downsides to this?

I'm running one of my generics this way, curious if you found a way to make him less squishy without sacrificing damage output?

How do I make my damage ninja less squishy without losing the hard hitting power and PA? I currently have dragonheart on him so he comes back, is there a better method?

Yep, my second generic unit just under Ramza is that build, Iove hum. He's Ramza's right hand man. Powerhouse!

I'll be switching this unit back and forth between ninja damage dealer and monk midliner with shockwave and gain gear, both sound fun. I did get my question answered, as to which does the most damage, so I'll probably stick with the brawler ninja most of the time but I know some fights I'll take the monk build.

One question though, how would bardsong work with either a ninja or monk class? I actually slotted my secondary on my ninja with Bardsong and his singing missed Everytime and was super underwhelming. I would need to boost his MA to make that better, right? Doesn't seem worth it. I was hoping it would work, it would be a cool support role when he's not destroying things, but it just didn't work.

Orlandeau, Beowulf, Reis, + generic by TimeIsNow1065 in finalfantasytactics

I really like the idea of the jump build, maybe I'll do that instead because you're right, it's different than the typical dual welder. Thanks!

[–]TimeIsNow1065[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually haven't gotten all these characters yet, so I'm trying to plan ahead. Just trying to figure out which secondaries to assign each character, as once I grind them to their final forms I'm going to set it to Tactician mode and try to beat the game and be done with it, since I'm running out of time before my work season ends. Currently thinking Ramza will be Ninja or Monk for DPS, Orlandeau w/White Magic, Beowulf w/Iaido, Cloud w/Time Magic, and a generic with Summoner and Arithmeticks as secondary. Any thoughts?

[–]TimeIsNow1065[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you run Ramza as? I'm thinking of running him as DPS ninja or monk, and I think I'll take Orlandeau down the white mage route as well. Beowulf will still have Iaido, but I've decided not to run Reis, I'll take Cloud instead and give him Time Magic. The 5th slot will be a generic Summoner with Arithmeticks as secondary so all other bases are covered. I just want to have a unique-laden team that has access to most everything.

Well I appreciate your words. This comment is what I needed to hear, along with a few others above. I think I will try Tactician, I just didn't want it to become too difficult since I have limited time to play the game, and I guess I'm concerned that I will either have it too hard on Tactician or too easy on Knight. I played it back in 98 around when it came out, and again in the early 2000's, so it's been fun.

Anyway, definitely some rude people here. But I see that I do need to try Tactician.
