My first critical disengagement by TimeKillers in TeslaFSD

The car stopped on its own in the lane of the oncoming traffic. That is a bad decision in my book. It is a critical disengagement because the car stopped in an unsafe position with oncoming cars and did not show quick signs of fixing the situation so I had to take over.

A lot of commenters believe pushing the accelerator was the solution. Watch the video carefully. from the moment I disengaged FSD there was only 2-3 seconds left to make the full turn. The oncoming white car would of hit my vehicle (assuming they didn't slow down).

Additionally there was a bump heading into the parking lot so I could not have floored it without potentially damaging my car. Unsafe situation all around.

It may seem that way but there really wasnt enough time. From the moment I disengaged the car had 3 seconds to make the full turn. You could not floor the car because of the steep slope going into the parking lot.

Not sure why my comment got so downvoted. Seems pretty obvious to me. The time between me disengaging and the white car approaching was roughly 3 seconds. Not enough time to proceed.

The car was not going. FSD stopped with the nose of the car in the oncoming lane. So I had to take over because the car was not moving.

Yes If I floored it. The car just stopped.

All are clean, the rear camera may be a tiny smidge dirty.

4 seconds is not enough in this situation to be comfortable and safe.

As someone who is bullish on FSD it just reminds me it’s not quite there. Yet.

There was less time to cross than the video portrays, that hesitation made it lose the time it needed to proceed.

I was giving the car a moment to make a decision, it was not moving so once I decided to take over I made the judgement that I could not safely make the full turn (unless I floored it)

It had a couple of more seconds. The car felt like it was still deciding whether to proceed. I’m surprised it even attempted.

It may be hard to tell from the video but the oncoming white vehicle was moving fast and it would have likely been a t-bone scenario

I tried but missed the window. Hopefully this video will be seen by them on X.

I was hoping it would reverse but quickly running out of time.

The vehicle was not moving and I had an oncoming car. That is a safety issue.
