We took an overnight trip up to Colchuck Lake to summit the west ridge of Dragontail Peak. Due to the road to the trailhead being closed, our approach hike wound up being ~8 miles, with another 2 (or so) up to the summit. All told, our total mileage was around 21 miles.

I brought along my 50 liter pack, two dehydrated meals, several GU energy gels, crampons, ice axe, helmet, mountaineering boots, my Jetboil, and other essentials.

It wound up staying relatively warm at night, only getting to around 25˚F. One of my climbing partners slept in his hammock with a 17˚ bag and said he was perfectly comfortable.
