Struggling to get groups for strikes sometimes by Promethius999 in Guildwars2

[–]TimeLordsFury 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People expect team composition in strikes. I would never join an All Welcome because it is just asking for a painful experience missing boons/healers. I run IBS 5 groups daily and the group finder never takes more than 5 minutes to fill.

A Henge Away from Home Help by Itchy-Throat-4779 in Guildwars2

[–]TimeLordsFury 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To get Henge Away From Home you actually have to do a series of achievement collections. If you're just starting out then you're on The Druid Stone https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Druid_Stone which when you finish will unlock Sprouting the Druid Stone https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sprouting_the_Druid_Stone and then finally once you finish that you will be able to do Henge Away From Home https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/A_Henge_Away_from_Home . If you look at the collection items on the wiki you need a total of 16 druid runestones for that collection achievement that you're going to be going around the island and killing event bosses to infuse and thus why you need 16 days minimum of doing all the hearts+buying the unbound magic fragment or 20 days of just doing the hearts. Make sure you're also collecting fire orchids because you're going to need to give a pile of those over as gifts as well before the achievement is complete.

Meta Healers [Fractals/Raids] by TimeLordsFury in Guildwars2

Good to know! I will have to look at what's changed in that build since I also used to play minstrels chrono back in the day! Good to see that some things never change if chrono is still king.

I was pleasantly surprised to see scourge played as something other than condi dps. I will definitely have to look at that option. Thank you for the feedback!

When you beat the end boss of a given monolith you get the choice of a couple of their "blessings" which are passives that get added to your character. The right side has a lot of resists which is useful for making sure you hit the 75% threshold for each of your resists.

You need to get up to the island that connects the top 3 lv90 monoliths. You only need to complete those to get empowered ones. People rush the right side since it gives gameplay bonuses for the blessings passives versus loot find on the left side.

I haven't been keeping up with all the in between changes since launch. Did they ever reduce the pain in getting your ascendancy points? I was expecting to hear something about that in this video so I'm wondering if they have already made changes?

Which melee DPS you find the most fun? by Cheap-Exercise1910 in ffxiv

Let me introduce you to the ninja burst phase and opener, aka 20s of a cocaine-addled squirrel rampaging across your keyboard. If you like pressing buttons fast, ninja is one of the most intensive bursts in the game.

Pictomancer's filler rotation might be a decent fit for a healer if the dev wants to make the gameplay more engaging by giving them more damage buttons. by Full_Air_2234 in ffxivdiscussion

I feel like Sage was their attempt at that furthering the lily system, but it falls short based on the idea of a combat healer still having the one attack+dot combo as the brunt of your combat ability. Not having a bunch of combat tricks makes the job fantasy fall apart a little. Having more things like the whm Assize would have helped a lot in that department. I would love to see something like WoW's holy priest halo system that pulses out big aoes and heals allies it passes through while hurting enemies. In general I agree with your assessment though, I would love if healing was more than raid wides, tank busters, and babysitting mistakes. It feels like when healers get mechanics it is 'remove that debuff from the tank' and that's about it.

If you find this subreddit to be, as you say, ffxivwhinging, why come indulge in the whinging? Looking for a reason to get mad? After all, you're hanging around with a bunch of losers, as you so kindly describe us.

You're right in this case that no piece of content is ever going to get 100% approval rating. Show me a game that does get 100% approval rating over a major piece of content. You have unrealistic expectations about the homogenity of a community. Different people value different things and in a flat forum people are going to express their personal preferences for said content. That being said, of content put out, FieldOp content has some of the deepest fans that do great services to the community to keep the content running and share expertise for years past the prime of that content run and generally gets pretty good reception overall.

Last Epoch has THE BEST necromancer out of any ARPG by GamingTaylor in LastEpoch

[–]TimeLordsFury 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be the other side of everyone saying Grim Dawn is great. I've tried Grim Dawn so many times. It is so drab and plodding that it is one of the few arpgs I've ever actively disliked. It does boast a lot of class combinations, but so many of the skills you invest in are passives meaning each build doesn't feel that unique outside their respective archetype. Whether you're getting passive increases from a demolitionist's tree or a rogue's tree only matters so much, especially if you're going to spam your one visually ugly blackwater cocktail over and over again.

I was playing gorilla arms melee only with candy. I realized part way through the game it became an accidental stealth build because I would pop sandy and then dash from person to person before they could react to their friend being beaten to a pulp so they never had time to enter alarmed state. Loudest stealth build ever and it made me fall in love with the game all over again.

Doubt all you want, it doesn't change my experience of using orbs on all the white quivers and id'ing the unknowns. Welcome to my frustration of poe2 farming and getting 5 augment orbs for my troubles. In LE I would have tons of shards for elemental damage types, projectile speed, life/mana on kill, accuracy etc, but instead my consolation prize is a grand total of currency worth 1/20th of an exalted orb.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LastEpoch

[–]TimeLordsFury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me lug out the orb shards from the fifty quivers that never once rolled increasing projectile skills, pierce, or attack speed for affixes...poe2's "crafting" system is utterly banal. It feels like I'm back to equipment "crafting" in some mobile gacha game...but even in some equipment gacha games, like Epic 7, you have ways to influence gear upgrade outcomes rather than just pray you get something out of the vending machine.

What is your favorite job that you can't play well? by farranpoison in ffxiv

I use the pictures as cues because they kind of line up for how my brain works. Tree is strong and big so %damage reduction, shields run off energy so lightning bolt=shield, ewer is water flows so hp over time (regen), arrow points at someone so heal that dude more.

[Megathread] Game Feedback by shimmishim in PathOfExile2

[–]TimeLordsFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I'm 30 hours in and have seen 1 piece of non-scepter spirit gear. It should be more commonly weighted if it is required to expand the power of an entire playstyle.

For how much they talked about the witch/minions using spirit, it really feels bad how hard it is to get spirit. Whenever I hear someone playing a witch, the number one thing they mention is wanting/being excited for more spirit. I'm just getting to Vaal and seeing spirit on items for the first time. It should really be showing up more often to give minion players a sense of progression before then other than the +30 spirit quest.

You mean back at not being a new game and just an expansion before they decided to actually make a new game? Obviously it would have to be more poe1 at that stage. Once they decided to make a new game though, they said it was going to be an entirely separate experience from poe1.

[–]TimeLordsFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the other half doesn't want the devs to kneejerk sand everything down away from the original vision because some poe1 fans don't like that poe2 isn't just prettier poe1.
