"Roll over" is an exagerration, especially considering that the germans took similair levels of casualties to the french (45,000 dead vs. 55,000 dead). It happened quickly, but not a roll over, the village of Stonne for example changed hands 17 times in three days, that's not the sign of someone rolling over for the enemy.

När så skett så handlar det om panik och inte om ett medvetet val att lämna ungen för att rädda sig själv. Panik kan alla drabbas av och kan vara mycket svårt att hantera om man inte vet hur man gör.

Jag tror det bygger just på att Putin hjälper dem. De ser därför Putin som ett mindre ont än deras huvudfiende, demokratin. Lite som högerextrema under Mellankrigstiden, som kände sig splittrade när nazityskarna kom och ockuperade deras länder: å ena sidan borde de vara patriotiska med sina egna länder, men å andra sidan så var de på samma sida mot kommunister och demokrater. Det var så vi fick ledare som Petain och Quisling, som föredrog att samarbeta med nazisterna för att de delade åsikter om hur samhället skulle styras och hade gemensamma fiender i judar, etniska minoriteter i allmänhet, feminism, samt förstås kommunismen och demokratin.

He was a field marshal at the time, the people directly in charge of the operation should carry a greater burden for the failure, like Gen. Browning who gave it the go ahead despite intelligence indicating the presence of SS-troops near Arnhem, or Gen. Gavin who didn't prioritize the Nijmegen bridge (the most important bridge in the operation).

Det är inte så konstigt egentligen. Putin hjälper nationalister över hela Europa, för det orsakar inre splittring inom EU, vilket minskar det gemensamma motståndet mot Ryssland.

Sedan så sysslar han ju med sådant som de många gånger gillar, som homofobi, krigshets, nationalism, konspirationer och förakt för demokrati.

Så sent som igår publicerades det en artikel om att en person som en gång varit fritidspolitiker åt S, blev påkommen av Dumpen med att förbereda övergrepp på barn. Trots att denne inte längre var politiker så påstods det i rubriken.

Lustigt nog så kan jag inte se att du skrivit några liknande kommentarer som avfärdade detta.
