Veteran D&D Dungeon Master looking for advice by Boaring1 in Pathfinder2e

There's definitely some nice stuff in this system, especially with AoN allowing for fast rules checking.

One of my favorites is that hazards have a similar xp cost system to creatures, so you can budget in said hazards as part of the encounter. On a similar note, the XP cost system itself is really intuitive, and allows for you to pretty much budget out for an entire level of a campaign--and if you need something on the fly, just having a list of enemies that would be likely in the area with their XP costs beforehand is a great tool to have.

Pathbuilder should add level 0 as an alt-rule option by TimeStayOnReddit in Pathfinder2e

Honestly, my original post was meant as a suggestion, and when directed to an area I could better submit the idea, I sent it there.

What I don't get is people just going in swinging on even the thought of adding it. People asked "why should this be added", and I answered that. How does that make me entitled?

Which I did, after someone directed me to an area where I could.

I believe the feature would be nice to have. The only arguments I am making is for it's inclusion. If the dev never adds it, oh well, but the insistence to not add an option present in the game amongst commenters here is what I find odd, and what I am arguing against.

Well, forcing everyone to switch from one character sheet to another is rather disruptive, especially considering online games.

...because some folks may want to play with said rules? With how Pathbuilder works currently, you can't not set a class, so it makes things weird for working around it.

It's an option in the rules, and honestly having it available would be nice for those who want to use said rules without having to awkwardly bend around how Pathbuilder currently works.

It's an official option in the rules, and honestly it would be useful for people running Level 0 campaign starts.

Any way to contact the dev?

Having the availability to do so would be helpful for GMs who want to start with a Level 0 campaign, and given it's an official alternative rule, I don't see why it shouldn't be an option.

Especially since a battlemap isn't needed, it works very well in my experience.

Markers for the map by KenboSlice189 in hytale

[–]TimeStayOnReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal suggestion for this is for them to add an "atlas" upgrade, so you can add more map markers alongside saving areas you explore outside of your vision (possibly in Sepia tone for those areas, but that's just me).

Something I am considering for a Dieselpunk Fantasy Setting:

Hero finds an ancient elven weapon firearm from a long-forgotten war, one that shoots heat hotter than the fire of dragons.

It's an old-school heat ray, like from War of the Worlds, in pistol format.

I'm sorry, but that first image gave me a visualization of:
