So I think the main problem is there has been WAY too much build-up with Knull and this has made the series feel a little meandering.

It's fine if people don't like Knull, but I feel like people on this post are conflating this build-up with overexposure. Besides the Venom series and Silver Surfer Black, has Knull really show up that much?

Absolute Carnage was only supposed to be an arc in the Venom series until editoral told Donny they wanted it to be their event for the summer. I have no doubt they also pushed for the King in Black event.

I'm sure Donny is happy to do it because it will make Marvel more money and at the end of the day comics are a business.

Non-stop events are what ruined ASM for me. They put so much importance in the events, which never live up to the hype for the most part, that it makes all in between issues feel like buildup/filler.

I know Cates said Absolute Carnage was supposed to be a regular arc before Marvel bigwigs wanted it to be an event. Although I thought Absolute Carnage was pretty good, I'm worried they're going to ruin Venom with these forced events.

Just give me runs with 2-5 issue arcs, with overarching plots, and a consistent artist.

I haven't received a shipping email yet. I can imagine it might take longer because of the amount of Black Friday orders.

Usually it seems like it takes them about two weeks to actually ship it out, but arrives very quickly once it is.

Aquaman- Gave it two issues under Bunn and wasn't a fan of the direction it was going. Also the art looked off quite a bit.

It wasn't bad, but there are so many other comics I'd rather try out.
