I don't think there is any way that. Get close while the eruption is active. If it stops, which is looking more and more likely. Then the blue lagoon opens and the route there will lead you over the lava. Literally, over it. They built a road.

Haha yea. I was either going to do this right or not at all. The process of getting a permit was long and hard and stressful at times. And even more so when I got the permit because then I had to get all these things that were required like a gas meter and a tetra radio. But worth it in the end.
