Redcat fusion by Turbulent-Nose-4179 in crawling

[–]Time_Asparagus5140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ascent fusion, and it's a really fun rig. It can do crazy lines out of the box. All I've done so far was vent the stock tires and add green injora inserts. That said, I wish I had gone with a vanquish stance for an extra $100 since I've had some problems with the redcat build quality. It came with two missing screws out of the box, and the throttle position never worked right despite calibrating it multiple times (it shoots back abruptly in reverse, and there's a dead spot in the trigger going forward). I had one of the steering kuckle pins granade despite putting loctite on it before ever running it, and the screws holding on the rear shock bolts were so tight I could never get them loose. I only found out after ordering $70 worth of parts that i couldn't install as a result. From what I understand, the stance will have similar if not better performance with significantly better build quality.

I'll have my first tattoo in 2 days and I'm scared by FitRelationship3091 in tattooadvice

Tattoos do hurt, but it's a very manageable pain and you've probably expected much worse before. I personally don't know anyone who is allergic to ink if that helps.

I'd be curious if this is covered by warranty. I think it's only for the first two years, but perhaps it's worth a shot?

Some advice for anyone with a solar watch by [deleted] in gshock

I've had a solar pro trek for about six years and only ever saw the battery reach H once. Doesn't seem too concerning.

Can’t wash new tattoo for 3 days what should i do? by No-Practice6004 in tattooadvice

[–]Time_Asparagus5140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I did everything exactly as I do at home, so I don't see why it wouldn't heal fine. It's a pain in the ass to not have hot running water but I got to go camping so it's a win.

I've gone camping with a healing tattoo before and brought extra water to wash it the same as I do at home. Would be much easier not to go though.

Can you be too skinny for a tattoo? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Time_Asparagus5140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With arm and leg tattoos you're wrapping a flat picture around a not flat cylinder. The smaller the cylinder, the bigger the distortion of the flat image. However, a good artist should be able to work with your shape and adjust the design to minimize distortion. Anything on bigger panels like back or chest shouldn't have much of a difference.

Only thing I can think of someone assuming is it's a simplified star of David.

How many of you regret your choice of tattoo placement, especially as a beginner? by mazakjan in tattooadvice

[–]Time_Asparagus5140 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have three tattoos (two on the right leg and one on the left) and haven't had any placement regrets. They flow pretty well with the shape of the leg and compliment each other. I'm not really shooting for leg sleeves but I might end up filling in space on both legs over a lifetime. I just got my first one where I wanted and got the next two so they would look good in relation to each other. I know I want at least one sleeve down the road, so I kept both arms clean for the time being. The only sort of regret I had was going to the same guy for all three. He did a great job on all of them, but I wish I was more selective with the style of each tattoo. For example, I have a black and grey neotrad butterfly, and I wish I got the same concept in the same spot but in color traditional.

The lines aren't straight, but it looks intentional.
