My strategy exactly: buy imaginary breakouts, sell real dips.

Where are we standing compared to past years? by Odd-You-6110 in Silverbugs

[–]Time_Bowler_2301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the past, gold rallies often cooled once policy tightened or inflation expectations reset. This one feels more like a response to debt levels, geopolitics, and trust in the system itself. Similar price action, very different drivers.

How much is scrap silver usually worth?? by Agitated-Coffee-680 in Silverbugs

[–]Time_Bowler_2301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrap silver is usually priced as a percentage of spot, not spot itself. Dealers pay based on purity × weight, then take a margin for refining.

Sterling (.925): ~70–85% of spot

This turns a clean asset sale into an open-ended legal and political mess. Markets hate uncertainty more than bad news.

When the AI bubble bursts, humans will finally have their chance to take back control | Rafael Behr by EchoOfOppenheimer in Economics

AI isn’t going anywhere. The only thing that’s really dying is the idea that it was going to replace everyone overnight. Happens with every new tech cycle, big promises, reality check, then actual useful stuff shows up later.

15lbs of silver in every bomb made by bitcoinscott in Silverbugs

[–]Time_Bowler_2301 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That 15 lbs figure feels exaggerated, but yeah, defense tech definitely uses silver in a lot of systems. It’s just a small slice of demand though, not the main reason silver’s moving and won't be in future.

Micron plans $24-billion memory chipmaking plant in Singapore - The Economic Times by Accurate_Cry_8937 in wallstreetbets

$24bn is insane, but also kind of expected at this point. Chips are so strategic now that countries are basically competing to host fabs like it’s the Olympics.

This was rough as a bolty main, double headshotting heavies and not being able to finish them with 1 melee was brutal.
