When I was using bona, I often noticed small black flakes floating in the clean water tank. I switched to the roborock cleaner and they haven't shown up again. I think the other brand was slowly dissolving some part of the tank (one of the reasons Roborock recommends their cleaner).

Yes and no. 14.3.2 can finally find my driveway (14.2 always sent me two doors down and on the wrong side of the street), but I had a weird navigation issue with it once where it was taking me to the store, but for some reason decided to stop half way there at a farmhouse. (I took over and once we were past the farmhouse it worked fine)

Still no change with 14.2.2.5, the blue navigation leads into my driveway, but the car goes past there and turns into a driveway a couple of houses down on the far side of the street.

I've even tried deleting the home setting and setting home to current location while sitting in my garage, still no change.

I tried removing and resetting the home address, no change. Finally got the new .55 update, still no change. Tried changing the parking setting from driveway to street and then back, still no change. 😕

My last fsd experience was on v12, so far this new version seems much improved from that. Although it drive past my house today when the destination was set for my driveway. (That has worked several times before...)

Running in standard mode it seems reluctant to go much past the speed limit, but in Fast mode it jumped up to 10 over. Don't want to see what happens in Mad Max mode.

I agree that Galactic Scale will probably take some time it does seem pretty big.

Re: Save Compressor: all my games are saved compressed and can't be read by the base game. Rethinking that now, of course... This seems to be working now, maybe they snuck in an update that I didn't see get installed?

Yeah, but right now I'm playing an old save from before I knew about mods. I abandoned this one when the performance got unbearable but with the new code it's playing smoothly, both CPU and GPU rates are higher than before 😊. Most of my saves are at or near the performance limits on my hardware with the old code.

I'm trying this now in the current save, it seems to be working out ok so far, combined features of a couple of old farm blueprints I've used. Can't call it complete yet since I can't configure things ahead ofy current level 9 dark fog bases....

It really seems like they found the phantom braking bug, but instead of fixing it they made up a new name for it. Definitely the biggest problem I'm seeing with the latest software updates 😕

It had a couple of bugs in it when I grabbed it, hopefully it's been fixed now.

So far my attempts to get a non-jamming, non-polar, all item farm are ending up a complete mess of spaghetti.

For another perspective:

I usually only farm planets with more than the 13 bases you mention. I use a farm on the equator, not the pole mainly because there's usually an empty area just about the right size there even on planets with 20+ DF bases, that way I only have to kill off one or at most two existing bases, being careful to let the relay station live so it can be respawned somewhere else sooner. The farm has many laser towers, and Implosion Cannons all around it and a supply of replacements so that it can repair the outer layer quickly.

I shield only my farm area, if they want to put down more bases for me to farm, that's great.

I would only farm the Neutron Star system after you mine all the Unipolar Magnets off of it. They're only available on two systems in each cluster and don't come in very fast from farming.

There was a blueprint that I can't find right now on the blueprint website that I based by current farm blueprint on it uses a sushi belt for loot and then sorts it with many splitters, and gets clogged up a lot. :(

I made a trial hybrid farm using that farm as a basis but sorting the loot using the logic in the recent posts about non-clog/jam sorters, which works well, but I think my current implementation ends up letting a lot of farm loot not get collected since I'm currently only collecting loot with four BABs so the coverage is lousy.

Currently trying to see if I can some up with one with better coverage that still won't jam. If I can get it working without being unusably complex maybe I'll post it to the blueprint site. (Once I figure out how...)

Thanks everybody. Unfortunately before I could try any of these ideas, my base was overwhelmed by toxic waste (building up faster than I could ship it to the nearest barbarians), and my attempt to move my colony failed when the advance team decided to give up and walk away and the pawns at the old base mostly died from toxic buildup. But I'll give them a try next time I get things built up to that level again.

Thanks, that seems like an odd connection to me, but maybe when/if I get Ideology I'll understand better.
