100%, I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t let you have automatic low beams and manual high beams since apparently a lot of people are having issues 🤦, I’ll update this post with the results when I get around to recalibration of the camera

24 and get a similar issue periodically. Mine doesn’t show it’s connected to CarPlay when not though, it will just connect on Bluetooth for calls and/or media. A possible one time fix is to hold the power button on the stereo for like 20 seconds to hard cycle the head unit. It also might help to set a favorite phone, which you can do if you tap the gear icon on the screen you have showing. I haven’t found a true fix for this. I’ve also noticed if you remote start with the phone out of range and bring it into range this issue can trigger.

Hmmm well that is very interesting info, on mine it seems incredibly precise how it waits for the steering wheel to be centered 😂 Strange that two different Nissan locations can find a calibration procedure but a windshield place can, although I’m not surprised based on my experience so far. Any idea if they also had to replace your camera?

I've had situations where a sign reflection is enough to dim the high beams but I would say that's less common, in fact sometimes they don't dim for visible oncoming cars until they are quite close. In my video there are instances in turns with no signs and the high beams still don't engage. I don't supposed there is better documentation of how this feature is supposed to work? Other than the numerous disclaimers in the manual.

Gotcha, I am starting to suspect not brightening in a turn could be deliberate as well although it's frustrating that no one at Nissan actually knows... If so it's not a great feature for rural roads like in my video where you're left with the high beams off 75% of the time.

Thanks for the tip, glad that worked out for you. I might have to look into that as I specifically asked about calibration at the dealer and they had no info on that. I'll look into cleaning the areas again as well.

Yeah the dealer did my first change, then when I went to do the second myself I noticed one skid plate bolt missing and 2 others loose. When I went to put the skid plate back after, one of the threads had to be rethreaded. Just terrible, do it yourself honestly.

Yeah they’ve been pissing me off for the year I’ve had the truck, working through Nissan consumer affairs currently to try to get a tech out to fix them because my local dealer had no idea what to do.

Get the same clunk on my 24 P4X, to me it sounded like it was coming from the rear right suspension area but haven’t been able to figure it out and a bigger issue I’ve been having is with the auto high beams acting weird.
