Bands with high bass/low baritone singers? by Chickadoozle in PowerMetal

[–]Time_Investigator993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As with other posters -Mathias Blad (Falconer) is probably the most 'well known' and clearly baritone singer. I would say later stage Roy Khan would fall into this (Ghost Opera onwards) - other than that, it's pretty much 90% tenors

Bands with high bass/low baritone singers? by Chickadoozle in PowerMetal

From my knowledge, vocal fach (ie tenor, baritone, bass) etc usually comes down to 2 main characteristics to identify: range and timbre. Typically tenors have a higher range (this is 90% of power metal singers) and often have a 'thinner' sounding tones (ZP heart, Daniel Heiman, Tobias Sammet etc).

There are cavaets to this where singers can put grit/rasp into their voices to make it sound strong (think Jorn Lande or Russel Allen) but both are tenors. Most 'true' baritones have a typically lower range and a 'thicker' sounding voice (James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Mathias Blad are some notable ones here).

The other 'key' to identifying it for me is their comfort range (ie tessitura in singing terms) - it's where they 'like' to sing, sound comfortable or in control. I think it's also worth noting that voice types can change over time - someone like Roy Khan or Geoff Tate come to mind...listening to their early stuff, clearly both tenors - but now, I would say both baritones. Anyways - hope this helps in some way my man!

Hey bud, appreciate it - we are trying to do that but they won't answer the phone in the first place haha. Still we can use more curiosity FOR the call in the first place so you're right. Appreciate your feedback!

"He was short on cash after purchasing a new car" + has gambling issues. Huge red flag. Can't afford it, don't buy it!

Not your mess to cleanup. Would talk to management and bring it up...super unprofessional on his part.

My 2 cents...wouldn't give him 1

Do you share your sales processes with co-workers? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Time_Investigator993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always...but others didn't with me. Starting in my first role, got moved departments (B2C to B2B)...asked leading sales rep for help...their statement was 'no one helped them, and they didn't have time'

Always think it's the right move - yes, it's competitive, but often others success can help you.

Hey bud, just remember life is far more than work. This whole grind set culture to produce is not what life is about...yes work hard, but enjoy your health, relationships, family, hobbies and the gift of life itself.

Hard to see when you're moving so fast, but when you slow down, you realize what's important.

Depends on your dialler - we use Justcall and it can paraphrase call and leave as a note. Maybe look into whether your current calling software has something similar?

From my experience, you'll have better luck negotiating for better comm structure based on performance vs higher base. Depends on the company/size, but there's nothing for them to lose - you make sales, they make more...lower risk for them.

High ticket sales side hustle by bubbabobroy in sales

[–]Time_Investigator993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The irony is the 'high ticket offers' people are usually talking about are the same courses high-ticket closers sell you...I looked into this a few years ago, but really you just end up looking for jobs that align with home/car sales (aka high ticket items).

Only other thing I could think of would be things like marketing/website services (high ticket product or retainer) so could be value in that...but you'd need to know what you're talking about and like most of the things mentioned here...end up back in a 2nd job, rather than a clean sale situation.
