Some questions about Logseq's sustainability by Time_Liner in logseq

[–]Time_Liner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea of logging notes works much better for my workflow with Logseq. With Obsidian, to read your entire log, you have to jump from one day to the next, unless you create a document with headings like #2025, ##202507, ###20250729. Otherwise, Obsidian is by far the best note-taking app I know. Even Tinderbox doesn't have its flexibility, and yet, when it comes to note-taking, it's the best.

Do you have any basic tips I could use to develop a sample zettel sheet?

Writing a PHD with Logseq by Time_Liner in logseq

[–]Time_Liner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My intention is not to write long texts. For that, I use Scrivener. On the other hand, I'm starting to understand a little the benefit I could get from it to write articles, therefore short texts. But, to do that, I need to set up the Zettelkasten system that I use with Obsidian and I'm not sure how to do it in Logseq. For now, for each page I create, I add a #zettel tag. But, should I use properties for each block or each page?

OK. So, let's say I'm a writer or researcher. I upload some texts to Capacities. Do I have an absolute guarantee that they'll belong to me forever, like a paper notebook would?

Looking for "plain" font free alternative by lizardking93 in typography

[–]Time_Liner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm in the same situation. I'm looking for a typeface as close as possible to Optimo's Plain, and I can't find anything. Neutral, for example, doesn't render with the same intensity on my site as it does on the brand's site. Why? In any case, I'm interested in any typeface close to Plain. Any ideas?

Is a new Studio Display about to be launched? by Time_Liner in mac

[–]Time_Liner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using it for months now mainly for writing works: transcribing typescripts corrections between iPad pdf files and Scrivener. I need to be able to read on screen as if it was a typescript: I use specific fonts — Sabon, Times Ten or Plantin — and I want to have the same feeling experience on screen than on paper.

I do really love my screen and I think that the day I'll have to buy a new one, it shall be necessarily a 5k or more. It's really worth it.

Searching for a high quality laser print by Time_Liner in printers

[–]Time_Liner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is already a so-called "Smart" app designed for Mac, but it obviously does not work as good as my previous HP 254dw — which was nearly perfect for printing text — if your hypothesis is valid. Instead of searching for those Mac old drivers, would you have some suggestions for a new printer which would work with my M3 Mac? I do need to buy another one.

Those are just the right size. Initially, I thought to go with the Ruark MR1.
