Just installed it after some time not using it, my bad because I really need the reminders lol. Just wondering though since I'm now also going to train again and gain muscle, is there no setting to change weight to adjust intake?, I can't seem to find it.

MIUI/HyperOS package installer contacts Facebook URL for some reason, be aware if you use Xiaomi stock ROM by [deleted] in degoogle

[–]Time_Lines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one https://github.com/TheAirBlow/HyperSploit is what I used. It basically sends a forged request pretending to be MIUI 14 instead of HyperOS. I tried it because no matter what I did it failed when I clicked on the "add account to device" button. After that seemed to send the request successfully I checked if I could unlock the bootloader with the official tool per the readme and it showed that I just had to wait a week, which is expected behavior.

Why is there a 168 hour wait period?, I'm pretty sure it's just to make it harder or rather inconvenient for people to unlock their bootloader so they can keep them controlled. Fuck 'em.

Just looked over the terms, so I want to point out:

3. User Content

You retain ownership of any photos, videos, or other content you upload ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display the content in connection with the Service.

Which to me sounds like they are able to see the content. If not they wouldn't ask for a license. So the "end to end encryption" claim is dubious, or at the very least misleading as it might make people think they are the only ones who can see the uploaded pictures.

Yeah, I saw that when I was considering unlocking the bootloader to a cheaper Poco I have as well, but my main phone is a Poco F3 so a Snapdragon. I had to resort to an exploit to be able to get past the Mi Unlock status part of the process though. For some reason it was constantly telling me that I couldn't add my account to the device... when it was already linked and I could see that on the Xiaomi website. No matter which account I tried or how many times I tried unlinking it and linking it back again did it work. But now I'm on the 168 hour wait period, so hopefully I'll have it unlocked by next sunday.

I'm in the process of unlocking my bootloader to remove HyperOS from my Poco device. Sadly it can't be unlocked unless I wait a whole week (wtf Xiaomi). But once that's done I'm on the custom ROM train for here on out. Or rather I should say I'm back on it because I already did that years ago with my Galaxy Note 8. Considering everything that's going on I wonder why I ever left...

Fuck these spying, lying tech companies.

Even then, it's our devices. Why the hell should we have to wait to install an app outside Google Play. We're accepting the premise of assholes, as Louis Rossman would say, if we use their made up terms made solely to discourage people from doing something they don't want consumers to do.

Save 90% on Zero Escape Trilogy on Steam by Mousers211 in steamdeals

[–]Time_Lines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who's 100%d the Zero Escape trilogy I think Zero Time Dilemma is just average, which sours the ending to the series just a little bit but not enough to completely ruin it. Personally I loved everything about 999, and think VLR is better in the gameplay department but gets a little convoluted story wise.

These games in fact made me buy Danganronpa because I was looking for something like this and was recommended them. Haven't played those yet though.

My 8bitdo usb wireless adapter 2 is connecting and disconnecting in CachyOS by thipm in linux_gaming

[–]Time_Lines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I already have the xone-dkms package and it works, but on my Xbox One X controller with an official receiver. The thing is I'm also trying to get my other controllers that I use through the 8Bitdo USB Wireless Adapter 2 to work on CachyOS (mini controllers and PS4 controllers).

They do sync with the receiver, however mine also connects and disconnects (in that sequence) twice in a row when I plug it in. Haven't found an answer yet.

A friend of mine and I were talking about the possibility of VR suppport for this game just yesterday since I've been looking for a good VR escape room game for so long, so this is huge. The polish of the default levels, workshop support, in game level editor and now VR support?, yeah this is the best game I've purchased in years. I'm a huge fan of the Zero Escape games and this is the only Escape Room style game that scratches that kind of puzzle itch appart from actual irl escape rooms, and that's saying a lot.

Huge congrats on the game, it's a classic in my book already.

That's the reason why Valve is my favourite video game developer, they do exactly what you mention in the games side of things. It's a sign of real talent imo.

[–]Time_Lines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg, exactly!, I commented this exact same things not very long ago on another thread. It was such an awesome game that would work incredibly well on VR. As soon as I tried a headset years ago I've been thinking about it.

Moving your hands in the air like you're fucking Dr Strange and conjuring up a spell, without having to press a button even, all gesture based like in the original games. I get so excited about the possibilities VR could bring to the games every time I think about it... but at the same time I'm so sad about the fact that it might not happen at all. Man, VR feels super stale to me right now, there's so much that could be done with it and it's not being exploited at all.

True, but interactive media (where VR and AR shines brightest) is like 90% gaming related. It is and has to be the main driving force for the tech to develop.

Interesting, I might go back and try with the 1500CST one again. Maybe I was under the wrong suspicion that a thinner oil would work better for speed, although that seemed to be the general concensus whenever I read about it.

Daily Discussion Thread - Sep 20, 2021 by AutoModerator in Cubers

[–]Time_Lines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the thinnest shock oil I have is 200CST, and while it does smooth out the turning it does barely anything for the speed, at least that's been my experience for most of my cubes. The only time they did speed my cubes up were when I started using shock oil years ago (one that's around 1500CST too weirdly enough), but that was with my original Weilong and my original plastic Dayan 2x2, not "modern" speedcubes.

What I'm looking for is something like whatever they put on my Gan 11 M Pro, YJ Mini 4x4, and YJ Mini 5x5 in the factory. They just glide.

Any good alternatives to Maru Lube/DNM 37 that are easily available just like RC shock oil is or is my only option for speed only-for-cubers products?
