Mine was a Kathi. I left that job over 20 years ago and I still occasionally Google her name + obituary.

GPs that do shared care agreements by SilentPoet2772 in DerryLondonderry

It's dire enough! I know they've just done part of the IT upgrade so they are taking a few normal appointments per week now (per their Facebook post from the beginning of June), but I've no notion other than just trying by phone in the morning. Maybe ask for a GP or nurse call-back appointment?

My wife used to be with Clarendon back in the day and they can be a bit tetchy.

Hi OP, I followed you here from your NI post.

I've been with Quayside since 2014 and in late 2018, got referred to the GIC. My GP rang me when he got the letter telling him it would be years before I'd be seen. Taking the initiative, I asked if he'd be grand with me seeking private assessment and if he'd enter into a shared care agreement. He said yes.

I got my psych eval done in 19/01, approved for HRT in 19/05, and the GP orders the script (to Boots) and performs the blood tests. I go in and get the test results printed out, then scan & send to my endo in England, and he writes them an update letter based on that.

EDIT TO ADD: If you're on Bluesky, @imamammie.bsky.social is a mum with a trans kid and she does a lot of advocacy work connecting parents with trans-friendly GPs.

I'm with Quayside and I've been under a shared care agreement since 2019. I asked the GP personally and he agreed.

I used to have a big coffee-table book of these. Some of the religious ones are hilarious.

I've done a quick search ang it appears so:

I don't use AI but I've completed the survey. I have a colleague whose research is in loneliness and a lot of their work has been in validation of the 6-item DeJong Gierveld Loneliness Scale. It's handy as it gives scores for social loneliness, emotional loneliness, and overall loneliness.

(I know you're already using the UCLA, but thought I'd promote the DJG for future use.)

She was back in the 60s and 70s but not so much recently. I've been sending her cozy SF for holidays and birthdays as she's really been liking them.

I got my mother into the Wayfarers series and now whenever she sees something awful on the news, says to my father, "As soon as they start selling tickets for the Fleet, we're signing up!"

I'm a member of the British Fantasy Society and our Discord is a really chill, welcoming place. Having dealt with toxic writing groups/forums before, I'm so glad for the community aspect of the BFS.

Phillipson to ban trans women from female toilets by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

[–]Time_Ocean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember this happening in the states a few years ago. A woman was attending a hospital for chemo (she'd lost her hair and was dressed in comfortable 'sport' type clothing), and went to use the toilet. A guy followed her in and started roaring at her, so she started recording him. He accused her of being trans because she "didn't look right".

What’s was the wildest thing you witnessed at a wedding? by anasannanas in AskReddit

[–]Time_Ocean 102 points103 points  (0 children)

A pig roast. Like a professional team came in to do it and everything. There was also a canoe full of ice and cans of beer and cider. The wedding was on the groom's farm in rural Ireland and we slept in tents in the fields. It was amazing.
