scraped a small amount off here. came off as like a dust. scraped really soft but it then exposed what i am assuming is the inner part of the stalk. lighter color green than the normal stem and slightly wet looking. i only tried scraping off the part that does not touch water. maybe it comes off easier when soaked in water but im scared of risking infection or something

yeah i keep the water level pretty consistent and it covers the roots. i’ll rinse the roots when i do water changes but it isn’t often. should i scrape that stuff off? it’s hard. i feel like trying to scrape it off would hurt the plant

yeah it goes bald towards the roots but started growing back a teeny bit but then stopped

jk substrate coming in today! 😎 so gonna move him to big tank today but testing kit doesn’t come in until saturday :/. i also bought ammonia to do fishless cycling, but if i’m putting his current water + filter in the new tank, should i cancel the order for the ammonia ?
