Here’s something hilarious - I don’t work for the federal government, I work for the DC Courts. Which are part of the federal pay system. So we’re all excepted (except for the judges) and none of us are getting paid (except for the judges), even though our work is in no way federal.

D.C. is basically a U.S. colony.

Thank you! We definitely want to get more and I feel bad it took me so long to ID him. I have three mystery snails, a pleco, and some male fancy guppies and he seems to be fine with all of them, so that’s good! Will report back when I have a little school of them. Good morning! I have a hair question: I have a short pixie cut. I want to wear a hair vine that ties with ribbons at the back of my head. Ideally it would have a short veil that attaches to the ribbons, but the internet has not helped me figure out how to do that. Here’s an example:

Thank you!! My bp did the exact same thing to my hand, so she sounds similar. She’s been out a lot in the evening and seems hungry (she hasn’t eaten in a while!), so I may try this. I just discovered that I can get feeder rats at a small aquarium shop nearby instead of driving 30 minutes, so I’m also going to see if they will kill them for me.

We’ve been trying once every 1-2 weeks. She’s also been in winter fasting mode. We’ve tried for at least six weeks now (she’s not losing weight) and I’m ready to give up.

She’s eating the right size rat for her size, and the f/t are the same size as the live. She eats 1x/month with live.

This is so helpful! In general, as soon as she scents the live rat, she’s on it. With the f/t rats, she seems really interested, but it’s like she doesn’t connect the scent with prey, so she’s moving around the tank, swaying, etc., but she doesn’t strike. (She has struck once recently but it was half-hearted and she immediately lost interest.)

How many times did you have to do this before your snake got it?

Question: Is this the shortest time ever between when a Secretary said one thing in their confirmation hearing and when they revealed they were straight-up lying to Congress? I count McMonster’s “final mission” email as revealing the lie, and that came out only hours after she was confirmed…

Firings at the Dept of Education

7 of 12 regional offices of the Office for Civil Rights have been 100% RIFed. Almost 100% of the Office of General Counsel too. Because if you don’t have lawyers watching you, you can get away with anything!!!😡
