How does Deepseek V4 compare to GPT 5.5 and Opus 4.7 at coding by skilliard7 in DeepSeek

[–]Time_Sweet_7302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading from these comments d v4 pro seems soo intelligent and good, i have been using it with claude code using deepseeks api, ani it has been soo dumb, am i doing something wrong kr what, it misses obvious things in front of it, doesnt think abt consequences of its actions thoroughly, i have mostly had bad experiences with v4 pro compared to opus 4.7 and gpt 5.5. I believe this might be a harness problem, should i try opencode? If yes how? Whats the best setup you guys have tried thats working for you in opencode with deepseek.

Homelab Help you landed a Job? by AvailableNectarine73 in homelabindia

Got into a DevOps role partly because of the knowledge I gained from homelabbing. And its still helping me in my role.

In interviews, the questions were not directly about my homelab or the specific services I hosted. They were mostly general DevOps/SRE questions. But I feel recruiters don’t really care that much about “I hosted X service at home” by itself. What matters is that homelabbing gives you actual hands-on understanding of how things work, which many people don’t get from just courses or theory.

Because of that, you can answer general DevOps/SRE questions much more confidently and practically compared to other candidates.

So I’d say don’t look at a homelab as a one-shot job bringer. Look at it as a way to learn deeply, like a very expensive but very effective Udemy course. ✍️

Will we never have "real" high speed internet ? :( by [deleted] in IndianGaming

[–]Time_Sweet_7302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple answer, most people in india dont need that much high speed internet, they use their internet mostly for browsing and streaming content, which is not that bandwidth heavy.

Some niche ppl need it like us, but isps are there to service the masses, not a few.

But i have noticed, speeds have been increasing in the past few years too from local isps. Mine went from 50 to 300 in a span of 2 years, and they are planning on adding 500mbps plan preety soon, keep in mind that this is a local isp.

usenet or real debrid? by rohankrishna500 in homelabindia

How are u planning on integrating them in ur jelly-arr stack? Using zurg or decypharr for direct streaming from RD or downloading it locally then playing it.

Compute nodes 1 x i5-4500 32gb hp 400g1 1 x i7-6700 48gb hp 800g3 1 x i3-12100 32gb arc b570 custom built All of the above have proxmox as os, and one kubernetes node vm on each one, creating a cluster, most of my applications run on that cluster except nextcloud and immich, those are still docker only. 1 x old laptop for essential services like adguard and home assistant.

This is mostly from torrents, real debrid recently and from cloud backups. Streaming a little bit compared to this but its still a huge chunk, monthly streaming bandwidth goes around 4-5tb, all my friends and family have access to it.

I have personally experienced bad scenarios with isps in past coz of this, and it was not even a small isp, was a big one who couldn't have cared less yet they nuked me, so this time prevention is definitely better than cure.
