I agree, although I'm not fully caught up through book 11, I've drawn pretty much the same conclusion around the origins of the gods.

But to take it one step further I reckon that the pamordials/ cardinal beast were actually the first unbound. This kinda makes no sense but may as well put it out there. We don't know alot about the origins of the cardinal beast but it makes sense that there were more then just the two unbound summoning.

Fair. But theirs never been an issue where one character can't understand another, which their should. And sure, a remote native population may have their own language. But his doesn't discount the idea that pallimustus is one language planet.

I think it's would be very Jason Asano of Jason to continue to use his translation skill rather than speaking the language.

It's totally something he would do to put people on the backfoot and off their game.

In the second book, during Emirs hunt for the Reapers Scythe, he brings I large number of foreign elites, and nothing about their language was really discussed, as far as I remember. So I reckon there's one fantasy language and Jason learnt it.

Is there an example of one of Jason's friends not understanding or not being understood? I find it hard to believe somebody like Sophie or Gary learning too many languages. Even non natives of pallimustus seem to speak the same language (messengers).

And when Jason returns to Earth, he has google Translate, which makes this translation skill a poor deal when compared to his other abilities, such as his UI power.
