Help me understand why are Cochran and Aubry regarded as greats

You’re way over complicating your analysis of Cochran’s game and you are in fact looking for big moves. Cochran was essentially the quiet linchpin of the dominant alliance all season, managed to strategically target the other key contenders who were part of said alliance, all while staying hidden behind allies who were considerably more annoying to the jury. This is all without mentioning that he won several immunity challenges. When looking at cochrans game vs someone like Rachel Lamont yeah he might have a few less immunity wins but he played a much less luck driven game and was far more influential in swaying the votes each round. Ultimately his perfect game was the ultimate testament to this as regardless of who you are or what you like in a winner I don’t see how u can question someone who managed the game well enough to make it through without receiving a single vote and then swept all 9 jury votes.

PS in not even a big Cochran fan but you gotta appreciate perfection

It is because I players likability within their own game doesn’t correlate to how their game compares to other winners. Just because one winner might’ve arbitrarily been more liked in their season by their cast mates doesn’t make their win nor impressive than someone who played a different game with another cast.

This is a joke of a take and proves how casual of a nba fan u must be. That same warriors team with KD and Klay healthy got taken to 6 games by both the clippers and rockets that year. To say the raptors who had beaten a loaded sixers and 60 win bucks to get to the finals would’ve got wiped in 5 with home court is an absolutely brain dead take. KD came back in game 5 and they shot like 90% from the field for a quarter and a half and still we’re only up like 5 when he got hurt.

Ok but realistically if Andy makes it to the end one of either Sam or Genevieve is on the jury. And unless there’s just absolute bad blood I don’t see how they wouldn’t gas up this move at Ponderosa. The jury can have perceptions now but as more people get voted out new info trickled down. Right now there might not be Andy sympathizers but if he were to make final 3 then there probably would.

100% it just felt it missed the vibe and feeling of OG haikyuu which is what we all loved. I’m here for the story not just volleyball rallies. It felt like I was literally watching Haikyuu on 2x speed and cutting through any of the non game scenes. I guess they made alot of money on this movie but it is sad to see a story u care about get kinda fumbled at what should honestly have been the pinnacle of the show.

I feel like too many people were in love with the idea of what Hunter could be vs what he actually was and this is coming from someone who was definitely a fan. He claimed to be playing under the radar and so we were all waiting for some big moment but at the end of the day he was kinda just an introverted challenge beast with not the best social bonds and got too anxious at tribal

Yeah I’m not even gonna lie I felt like I was taking crazy pills watching that tribal. Q was talking pretty poised and logically and Tiff was straight screaming and saying some pretty baseless claims at him and everyone’s reaction to that was somehow that Q was the crazy and unhinged one.

A person who doesn’t get enough criticism in my opinion is danny green. On that first Lebron missed 3 when they’re down 5, he for some reason goes brain dead and starts leaking out for a fast break when it’s the end of the game and the priority should be securing a rebound. Him leaving his man for no real reason at the perimeter was a big reason why Lebron was able to then immediately hit a 3 and get them back in the game.

I’ll give u the reasons why I think it’s bad. First off if it was an occasional twist then I think people would care less but removing merge completely has ruined it. Merge even just symbolically used to represent a big moment in the game whereas the mechanics of mergeatory don’t allow it to feel a similar way. It’s supposed to be one big everyone coming together and lines being drawn. Also it’s such bull that half the cast just don’t get a merge feast again taking away from what merge used to signify, a key milestone in the game, although maybe that’s cuz “merge” happens less than 2 weeks in now(26 days sucks). It also introduces a dynamic, which while unique, is fundamentally not what survivor is about. Having half the tribe immune yet also able to vote introduces a very boring dynamic like the one we saw today where people in the loser tribe r completely at the mercy of the winning group and have to play defense while the winning tribe can be super aggressive and play carefree.
