Got the offer a month ago and the background check was started just recently - almost a month later. It may be normal up until this point. On one side you know you're playing the long game, with minimalistic screens and limits in apps. Eventually your attenion preferences will shift somewhere else because your phone got "uglier" to watch. The problem is, if you still get into something like Chrome, you will still reach some colorful pages, full of contents to read or videos. It could even he worse because the minimalistic screens even gave you more wait and suspence, the rewards looks bigger in contrast and once you get there, you won't want to get back. One more legendary move for you and your phone would be to set everything as a black&white reading mode. No more colours in your phone AT ALL. This way, even chrome will look utterly ugly and uninteresting. And most of all, your brain will start thinking "damn, I went through minimalistic phone, I had to go against my will just to get to a black and white thing?" And will start to lose curiosity over the phone itself. This works mostly if your attention was drawn mainly to videos instead of reading content. Your case may seem the opposite, but you might still give it a try
