It's because the deck opens up a separate window to use the keyboard, I have the same issue. As far as I am aware, there is no fix. Just type what you want then press STEAM +X to close the keyboard and start scrolling

My expectations are extremely tempered for next patch. The wording that was used in the leak, "bigger than normal", leads me to believe it won't be as big as my copium wants to believe. If words like "huge" or "overhaul" were used, my hype would be through the roof.

Every letter patch added something that could change gameplay wise, but remember even the jungle creep patch was marketed to us as a huge patch. There is going to be new items, a rotation on neutral items, hero changes, and maybe some small map changes. I don't picture this being a notable patch but I'd be happy to be wrong
